The Vickery's : December 2013

Matthew. Emma. William. Paul. Matthew. Emma. William. Paul. Tuesday, December 10, 2013. Dramatic reading of Byron Barton's "Machines at work." By William Vickery. Circumstances deviate from this order! It's simply not tolerated and usually ends up with the book forcefully removed from your grasp and the new one inserted into your lap. I've always enjoyed reading to William but now that I'm pregnant and my feet swell I really. Yesterday William surprised us both when he busted this out. Links to this post.

The Hobbs Family: January 2014

Steve Leah Lindy Nicole Renae Nathan. Friday, 10 January 2014. Things for me to remember. Margaret D. Nadauld “The Joy of Womanhood,” Ensign,. Nov 2000, 15). I love this quote. I remember hearing it back in 2000 and thinking "Wow, I need to remember that! AND of course with a new year upon us I am making a couple of goals for myself. 1 Be a more kind, patient and compassionate person. 2 Read my scriptures more (which won't be hard considering I hardly ever read them). Matthew. Emma. William. Paul. Matthew. Emma. William. Paul. Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Confession: I hate spending a lot of time on my appearance. Don't get me wrong, I love to get dressed up and look beautiful but I would rather just put on some cute cloths and have my hair in a messy bun. I have slowly been minimizing my make up and hair routine since. truthfully. high school. Sure, you could call it "letting my self go" but I prefer to call it minimizing. It happened, believe me. Please forgive! Discla...

Steve Leah Lindy Nicole Renae Nathan. Monday, 26 January 2015. That's what friends are for. What is a friend, 1 soul dwelling in two people". Even as a child, I would come home from school crying because too many people wanted to be my friend and I didn't like that. I don't know how to maintain so many friendships, lets face it, I can barely maintain myself and my family ha ha. I am grateful for learning about boundaries to protect myself and my family. We cannot control others around us but we can d...

The Hobbs Family: August 2012
http://slhobbssugarandspice.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Steve Leah Lindy Nicole Renae Nathan. Thursday, 2 August 2012. Nicole has been waiting and counting down till she turned 5 for quite a few months before the actual big day. We even had a countdown chart until Renae ripped it off the fridge. So when the actual day (July26) finally came we were all really excited to celebrate with the birthday girl. Last day of being 4. So excited to finally be 5 just like her friends. She wanted a Flip Flop Birthday, Auntie Daphne came to give pedicures for the girls.

The Hobbs Family: February 2014

Steve Leah Lindy Nicole Renae Nathan. Friday, 14 February 2014. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. I am so grateful for my husband, children, extended family and many friends who I love and who love me back. Monday, 10 February 2014.

Steve Leah Lindy Nicole Renae Nathan. Monday, 16 December 2013. Spreading things a little thin. Sometimes I feel like I've had enough. Enough of EVERYTHING! I don't want to be the Mom, Wife, Sister, Daughter, Friend, etc. Some days I am just too tired (emotionally, physically, mentally) to do everything cheerfully and efficiently. Some days I just don't feel I am enough and can give enough of what other people need. Sometimes it is hard but change is a good thing. Friday, 13 December 2013. I love you Ste...

Steve Leah Lindy Nicole Renae Nathan. Thursday, 12 February 2015. A Parents Voice Matters. In the last little while I've been reminded once again how much my parent voice matters. How one parents voice can make such a huge impact for many around them. Sometimes we don't think to speak up and ask questions. We are afraid of what the response might be or that we might sound uneducated and so forth. But I am learning that change only comes when people stand up for whats right. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Vickery's : Throwback Thursday
http://matthewandemmavickery.blogspot.com/2015/03/throwback-thursday.html
Matthew. Emma. William. Paul. Matthew. Emma. William. Paul. Thursday, March 12, 2015. Earlier in the week, a friend of mine posted on her instagram that she was listening to some 90's music (Alanis Morissette) and cleaning house. I know what you're thinking. "Wow Emma, you have friends that have great taste in music." You're right, I do. Anyway, as I was rocking out in the kitchen to youtubes greatest hits list of Ms. Morissette and it made me think. How old am I? Old I am merely addressing the comedic m...

Matthew. Emma. William. Paul. Matthew. Emma. William. Paul. Friday, January 30, 2015. Summer 2014 you've been a beast and now I will quickly document some high lights. Matthew and I decided to till the earth and try our hands at gardening. Well, my hands. I've never gardened before, like ever. Unless you count a mini cactus that I thought was cool in the 5th grade or my aloe vera plant that I basically never watered yet somehow survived. However you look at it, my credentials are low. While our apartment...
