Suck It Up .... Rantings of a Runner on the Edge: May 2014
http://chrismcpeake.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Toronto Maraton 2014 Race Report - Alice runs a marathon. Got to be honest here, originally I had no intention of running the Toronto Marathon. This year. I had expected to go back to Bear Mountain. Which is on the same weekend but sometimes things just don't go as planned. Okay really things rarely go as planned. There was just one rule, NO RACING! I would find someone mid pack to pace and stick to my long run speed. The Not Racing Race - Go Alice. Next up Seaton 50k. On Saturday ...
Suck It Up .... Rantings of a Runner on the Edge: Running frustrations, a slight reprieve, more running frustrations
http://chrismcpeake.blogspot.com/2015/03/running-frustrations-slight-reprieve.html
Thursday, March 12, 2015. Running frustrations, a slight reprieve, more running frustrations. All I can say is wow what a frustrating February and March it has been when it comes to my running. Things had been going so great in my base training until I got the flu in January and since then its been like I am trapped and blundering through a really bad Monty Python skit. After the 4 days are finally up I head out for a easy run. Holy crap I can run, not back to normal mind you but at least I can run a...
Suck It Up .... Rantings of a Runner on the Edge: June 2013
http://chrismcpeake.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Looking for Leadville Pacers and sweet new gadget. So much for keeping up with my regular postings. Looks like I have become about as reliable as the Postal Service. Checks in the mail, honest. I have unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately depending on your view point) fallen way behind on my race reports. Will try to play catch up in the next few weeks to give you even more internet content that you can and should ignore. Okay so in all seriousness I am looking for a couple of pac...

Friday, June 20, 2014. New Coaching Site, Mohican 100 this weekend. Coaching site is up. As some of you already know I have been coaching distance running for a running store for about the last 4 years with co coach Chris Henderson. Although we are still doing that we figured that it was finally time we start taking on some runners on our own. Check out our website at candcrunnningfactory. This weekend I am headed back to Loudonville Ohio to run the Mohican 100 miler. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). October ...
Suck It Up .... Rantings of a Runner on the Edge: Running Again, Looking for Pacers, ATB this Weekend
http://chrismcpeake.blogspot.com/2015/03/running-again-looking-for-pacers-atb.html
Saturday, March 28, 2015. Running Again, Looking for Pacers, ATB this Weekend. So with a return to running I can begin to allow myself to think about all my upcoming 100 mile races. I have already secured a pacer to run with me for the last 50 miles of Western States. Norman Nadon from Running Free Orangeville and Race Director for Chase The Coyote has been kind enough to offer to drag my ass through the Sierra Nevada mountains. Chase the coyote website. That leaves me looking for pacers for Leadville.

In Humilitate Vincis: August 2012
http://inhumilitatevincis.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
A wannabe runner tries the blog to help others or help himself. Monday, August 27, 2012. 32 - Leadville 100M. Wow, unbelievable that it’s even hard to run 5k now. At this point, there is no turning back. Was this a good or bad sign? Damn it, up Hope then to Winfield it is. When I said earlier that at mile 25 the race took a turn for the worst this is the place where it felt apart! Again, going out of the AS was hard, more folks were quitting and I wasn’t feeling it at all but in my mind all I neede...

The Run of My Life. Barefoot running for fun, love, life and other corny stuff! Sunday, May 15, 2011. Cleveland Marathon Race Report. I finished 2'nd . . . in the barefoot division. There were three of us that I know of. Jessy and I discussed our craziness at mile 17. Before I let him run ahead - he was running strong - he said that he had passed another barefooter before me. That guy never caught me though. Who finished 1st in his age group. Much faster than I can dream of. And to Steve, a colle...My ra...

Suck It Up .... Rantings of a Runner on the Edge
Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Hynerview Challenge 50K Race Report. As some of you already know I absolutely love this race. The course is beautiful, extremely challenging, super well marked and the RD does a great job of putting on a top notch event. Haven't run this race? You are definitely missing out and its only a 5 hour drive from Toronto. The 50k race features 9000 feet of climb with a lot of single track and a decent amount of technical thrown in for fun. While the huge amount of climbing makes thi...
