Jazz Thinks: August 2004
http://jazzthinks.blogspot.com/2004_08_01_archive.html
A Discussion on New and Improvised Music. Tuesday, August 31, 2004. Well, I'm back in school. Luckily, that means I've started composing again. Needless to say, this has had an obvious effect on my listening habits. This time, though, I'm not listening to Maria Schnieder or Charles Mingus. This time I've fallen in love with Gil Evans and Thad Jones. They're just fucking amazing. We are playing Thad Jones' Three and One. Posted by Danny Meyer at 9:30 PM. Jazz Thinks: November 2004
http://jazzthinks.blogspot.com/2004_11_01_archive.html
A Discussion on New and Improvised Music. Thursday, November 18, 2004. Multiple tonic systems (g. steps). I think i finally understand what giant steps, and other multiple tonic tunes(such as central park west) are really meant to be and coltrane blows the way he does over them. This happens to be just about the only thing i've ever learned in a class room that was worth jack shit. School is inherently anti-artistic and caters to homogenization of musicians and their music. So i'm getting the hel...

http://jazzthinks.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
A Discussion on New and Improvised Music. Thursday, January 26, 2006. I have recently been listening to 'The Microtonal Music of Ezra Sims'. This brings up a very important aspect of Sims' music, and the microtonal movement in general. What are combination tones? Sims is the best example i've heard of all of this, and it's really beautiful music. Do check him out. Posted by Chris Mosley at 9:11 AM. Tuesday, January 17, 2006. These are pure intervals, meaning maximally in tune. More on this topic to come!

A Discussion on New and Improvised Music. Friday, July 30, 2004. Saxophonist - in no particular order (I just can bare to number them). Basically, the top five "tenor saxophonist that don't play anything that really bothers me right now"). John Coltrane - Mostly later Coltrane. I have to admit.hes just the shit [rhyme]. Damian Garcia: PhD Drug Smuggler ~ Book 1 ~
Damian Garcia: PhD Drug Smuggler Book 1. Damian Garcia: PhD Drug Smuggler Book 2. In 1972, PhD student Damian Garcia and fellow MBA and law students use their combined education and street smarts to develop the world’s largest global drug smuggling operation unknown to all but a few.
