A little about me. I've been a graphic designer for over 25 years. Throughout that time I've worked in a pre-press shop, a corporate office, a communications agency, and a college. But most of that time I've been freelance, and much of my work has been with musicians, theatre companies, non-profit and non-governmental organizations. The City of Hamilton. As part of the War of 1812 Bicentennial, the City of Hamilton hosted the Tall Ships in the summer of 2013. I created the typography for the event to work with an illustration (ships and waves) by Jenna Rose. I’ve worked on 70 CD, vinyl and DVD packages over the years, the majority of those in the past 10 years. Clients include Six Shooter Records, the Orange Lounge Recording Company, Royal Wood, and many independent artists. Here is the art from some of my favourites. String arranging is one of my favourite musical activities. The ability for a string section to be both delicate and fierce is unparalleled by any other instrument. I love horns, too. The French horn is my favourite horn of all. The round warmth of that instrument kills me. Put a couple of those together with maybe a flugelhorn and a trombonethat's the ticket.
