Patchwork Fundamentals: Eye candy
http://chrisquilts.blogspot.com/2015/05/eye-candy.html
A blog about my classes and some amazing students' work. Some of my favourite quilts. Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Lots of pics today from my recent quilt camp. Lorraine's Rattle Snake from a Karen Stone pattern. Beautiful Kaffe fabrics with different greys. Lots of locals each morning to greet us. Just goes to show nothing will stop us sewing. Christine had a fall on the slippery paths and has an ice-pack on her supported knee. No stopping her! One of my projects on Saturday via Lorrie Cranor. Totally unrelate...

A blog about my classes and some amazing students' work. Some of my favourite quilts. Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Saturday saw our Xmas lunch with a group here at home. There was lots of show and tell for the last class of the year with Pam's finish of her Lots of Dots. Masterpiece. She will be persuaded to put it in next year's Sydney Quilt Show - can't wait for her response! The block below is a ring-in from the original - I love it! The full picture - just needs quilting. And what a burst of colour.
Patchwork Fundamentals: September 2014
http://chrisquilts.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
A blog about my classes and some amazing students' work. Some of my favourite quilts. Monday, September 29, 2014. I've just returned from four days teaching at the Misty Mountains Getaway in Dorrigo, just inland from Coffs harbour. I had a total of 26 students doing five different projects and had a wow of a time. One group was working on the Noodle Box quilt-as-you-go. The one below had the most beautiful machine embroidery in the centre of each block and yes those are my toes. Monday, September 15, 2014.
Patchwork Fundamentals: Snake Gully revisited
http://chrisquilts.blogspot.com/2015/05/snake-gully-revisited_19.html
A blog about my classes and some amazing students' work. Some of my favourite quilts. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Last weekend was my fourth visit to Snake Gully in Muswellbrook, a town in the Hunter Valley wine country. My hosts Liz and Robert are so welcoming it really feels like home with lots of country cooking thrown in. The projects for the workshop were Pickled Lillies. And the girls made a good start on both. They've made a new sign since my last visit - I didn't count the buttons but there were lots!

Stitches and Sew On. Designs by Rachael Porter. Monday, January 21, 2013. When you're having fun sewing that is. I can't believe it's almost the end of January! I have been busily working on some new projects. All are English paper pieced, some with a bit of applique and of course lots of fussy cutting. Here are some close-ups of some of the blocks. This fabric is great for fussy cutting. I'm having heaps of fun with this one! Here's a little sneak peak of what I've done so far. Stitches and Sew On.
Stitches and Sew On...: Lucy Boston
http://stitchesandsewon.blogspot.com/p/lucy-boston.html
Stitches and Sew On. Designs by Rachael Porter. The inspiration for my version of Lucy Boston's Patchwork of the Crosses has come from a quilt Lucy made for Colin Tilney in the mid to late 1970's. I loved the way she used the brown fabric to frame her blocks and wanted to incorporate that in my quilt. I will add more blocks as I complete them. December 2, 2012 at 2:39 PM. One word to describe these GORGEOUS. Stitches and Sew On. December 2, 2012 at 3:10 PM. December 8, 2012 at 2:47 PM. Stitches and Sew On.

Never far from a needle and thread. Friday, March 30, 2012. Did I ever tell you about the time. When my youngest daughter decided my pressing ham was a blank canvas for her artistic creations? Maybe she got this notion from her older sister? Here's the story and I am telling this from the perspective of the adult:. How can one not smile at such an infectious grin from this character? Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Turn of the Century Strip Quilt Top. You can get the idea of how a border design was created with...
