Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Dreams do come true. I have been wanting to go to Santa Fe, New Mexico for over 15 years. I have heard the stories of the Asian Spa, 10,000 Waves for years from numerous, reliable sources. As of next week, I will be there, making my dream come true! I haven't been on a vacation in over 6 years and it wasn't much of a vacation. driving to Wisconsin to spread my Father-in-Law's ashes; I don't consider that a vacation at all. Lots of bad memories from that trip. Dreams do come true.

Monday, February 22, 2010. Gearing Up for Breast Cancer. I have decided to register today for the Susan G. Komen. 3-day 60 mile walk November 5-7. Ellen has breast cancer. She's had a full mastectomy. On the right side two weeks ago today and now she's facing Kemo. I came to the realization last night that if I don't get started NOW, I'll never survive 20 miles a day for three days a total of 60 miles. I'll die. I'll just die. It's now or never. Thursday, September 2, 2010. Post Summer Post Script. The garden is on it's last leg. Between heat, drought, too much sun and a feisty 11 year old picking every little plant before it's ripe - we are left with two large garden patches in our back yard full of spindly, leggy, bare plants. Some of the plants have withered until they are almost unrecognizable. We (I should say, Jacob) enjoyed the bounty while it lasted, though. Jacob enjoyed sugar snap peas, tomatoes. Green beans (and more green beans).
