BOLC II - Ft. Sill. Sunday, November 11, 2007. BOLC II is a no nonensence course where we are nose to the grindstone 24/7! Ok, from this picture you can see that we do have some free time to relax and enjoy some free time. This weekend we had a 3 day weekend thanks to Vetrans day. BOLC II - Ft. Sill. Friday, November 16, 2007. The range was a very long day. Since our platoon was duty platoon we headed out early in the morning to get to the range and get everything set up. It was VERY cold, and to top it off, we had to ride about 30 min. in the open back of a truck. BOLC II - Ft. Sill. Saturday, December 1, 2007. Convoy OPS, MOUT training. Week 5 started out with PT Monday morning and then heading out to the Forward Operating Base (FOB). . The FOB is used to simulate a typical FOB in Iraq. . We have guard towers gates etc. . It isn’t as bad as sleeping in the field as we have metal buildings, AC and heat, electricity, showers etc. . One was a route recon where we were ambushed but they didn't block the road so we could drive through it. We also caught a van of folks putting an IED out.
