MySQL DBA, Architecture, Dev, Scale, HA, Code. Thursday, December 16, 2010. HandlerSocket mySQL's NoSQL, PHP and Webscale. Why bypass the server? Percona released a XTRADB server version. With HandlerSocket a plug-in created by the engineers of Dena. And immediately I started testing it. Installation of HandlerSocket is detailed here. The PHP Client that I am using is php-handlersocket. Which is a PECL type version (C driver with exposure to PHP). It does the job but needs some work that I'm doing now.

Sunday, April 4, 2010. Sorry it's taken me so long to write. I've had a very busy last few weeks and haven't had a moment to get on the blog. I wanted to let you all know that mom has completed all of her radiation treatments as of Wednesday. She is still taking some time to heal, but is looking forward to finally being free of the "cancer crap". She is still having a few complications due to the radiation and is requesting prayers for continued strength. Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Close to the end.
