Life On The Edge: OnePrayer
http://chrissur.blogspot.com/2008/06/oneprayer.html
Life On The Edge. Day-to-day thoughts of a church planter. Tuesday, June 03, 2008. I am really excited about kicking off the OnePrayer. Series this weekend at Seacoast. I think that it is an unprecedented opportunity to connect with churches around the world on the same mission. We are starting things off with Craig Groeschel's. Prayer that God will make us one. Powerful stuff. I am not condemning, just completely curious. 5 As soon as Anne Jackson quit that lifechurch.tv we quit! 4 I pray without ceasing.

Life On The Edge: Acknowledge & Celebrate
http://chrissur.blogspot.com/2008/04/acknowledge-celebrate.html
Life On The Edge. Day-to-day thoughts of a church planter. Thursday, April 17, 2008. Was really good. It was the first time that I have heard Brian Houston speak in person and that church. Is not just about the worship. The guy can bring the truth. His Wednesday morning session was one of the most inspiring messages that I have ever heard. I will never forget that the "oil is in your house." Good stuff. Another thing that grabbed me was something Dino Rizzo. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am the p...

I have now been trained to think in only 140 characters. :-). After 15 amazing years at Seacoast Church. The last 5 as Campus Pastor at the Greenville campus - I have accepted the call to join the awesome staff at Cross Point Church. I am very excited to join Pete Wilson. Have been awesome through this entire process. They have walked...

Inside the Mind of Tadd Grandstaff. January 29, 2006. OK OK…I know it was girl’s basketball…BUT…there is no bigger rivalry in sports that UNC and Duke. So, when 20-0 #1 Duke challenges 19-0 #2 UNC at Cameron Indoor you have to make time to watch it. My girls did not let me down…they have now beat Duke the last 4 times they have met…Again, I know it’s girls basketball but come on it’s Duke…I hate Duke! Did I mention I hate Duke? 8230;anyways GO HEELS! I will take my wins on Duke no matter how I get them!
A Day in the Life: New Year's Resolutions
http://rosswhi.blogspot.com/2008/12/new-years-resolutions.html
A Day in the Life. Monday, December 15, 2008. A great friend sent me this and it's worth a post! Thanks for the friendship, Andy. December 30, 2003. Best New Year's Resolution? A 'Stop Doing' List. One day, Rochelle pointed to my ferocious work pace and said, "I notice, Jim, that you are a rather undisciplined person.". Your genetic energy level enables your lack of discipline," Rochelle continued. "Instead of leading a disciplined life, you lead a busy life.". That assignment became a turning point in m...

http://rosswhi.blogspot.com/2008/03/sheep-rustlers.html
A Day in the Life. Wednesday, March 19, 2008. I usually skim the articles in the newsletter. From my alma mater. But I was captured by the latest cover article: Stealing Sheep: A Study in Church Growth Ethics. By William Chadwick. Since we. Want to be a church that evangelizes and disciples unchurched and dechurched people, it might be interesting to see how we stack up! The author gives five tests to detect Sheep Rustlers. I'll give you the categories with my summary definitions:. 3 The churches I know ...
A Day in the Life: Ouch!!
http://rosswhi.blogspot.com/2007/09/ouch.html
A Day in the Life. Tuesday, September 25, 2007. I'm experiencing a nasty new emotion as a parent. It's a combination of frustration, anger, helplessness, shock and stress. This feeling was elicited by seeing my children struggling and experiencing hurt and pain in an area of their lives. I realize that some of this is a natural part of growing up, and they need to walk this road and grow through it! However, that does not make me OK with it at all! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am an Associate Mi...
A Day in the Life: August 2007
http://rosswhi.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
A Day in the Life. Wednesday, August 29, 2007. So much is going on right now that I've got vertigo! It's an exciting and tiring time to be in ministry. With the coming of fall, there is low rumble as momentum begins to build in the church. It starts with attendance rising as vacationers get back in town. Seacoast Church had an unbelievable weekend from an attendance standpoint. The numbers at the Greenville Campus were large, but the church as a whole blew the doors off! The youth group is growing as wel...
A Day in the Life: The Piano Theory of Life
http://rosswhi.blogspot.com/2008/03/piano-theory-of-life.html
A Day in the Life. Monday, March 17, 2008. The Piano Theory of Life. Raising kids is tougher than I thought it would be. I knew they would have a will of their own, but that surely wouldn't be that big a deal.right? I've come to realize that it's all about being alert for teachable moments and jumping on them like a tick on a dog. Those teachable moments will come along periodically, but why not be proactive and create teachable moments (ie furious battles of willpower) every single day? Sometimes a chil...

http://rosswhi.blogspot.com/2008/02/planned-spontaneity.html
A Day in the Life. Monday, February 18, 2008. A couple of weeks ago, I had an amazing experience. I baptized 15 people over the course of two morning services on the same Sunday. The funny thing was that we had 2 people signed up for baptism ahead of time! Have you ever tried to schedule people in advance for baptism? First, you have to do it on a weekend they are in town.no easy task! Moment of response. We provided the clothes, towels, water.and WOW! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am an Associat...
A Day in the Life: May 2008
http://rosswhi.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
A Day in the Life. Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Is so much easier than blogging. Probably because my attention span is being deconstructed by the overload of images and information. It's just easier to write a few sentences of nothing than put together a coherent essay. I'm way more ADD now than I ever was growing up. I was gonna say something else, but it flitterred away. If I think of it, it will be on Twitter. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Although I work for Seacoast Church. View my complete profile.

Thank you for visiting my professional portfolio. I created this website because I have always found it hard to properly communicate one’s experience and past work on a piece a paper. Rather, I wanted to create an online portfolio so you can not only read but also watch and see me in action. I spent a year and a half running the Guest Service and Softline departments at a store with annul volume of $22M. It was an amazing leadership experience and their leadership management program is by far the bes...
