My fearless wonder climbed right up to the top, chucked his sippy cup down the slide and quickly followed suit. All by himself. While the twins looked on. This is his second or third time going down the slide. I want to live like that. I want to live with no fear. Isn't my God bigger than all my fears? Isn't He greater than all my anxieties?

6 sons, 1 daughter. 'Nuf Said. Friday, January 25, 2013. It took a miracle for me to blog again. A 2 year old miracle. 2 years ago today this little man came into this world like a fighter. We didn't find out he was born until a week later and I didn't receive permission to visit him until February 17th. The picture above, with the purple binky, is the first time I saw him, at 3 weeks and about 2lbs. We decided his name would be Judah and we prayed every day that he would fight like the Lion of Judah.

I'm suffering from some weird memory loss and, oh, I don't know, sleep deprivation. Can't remember if I told you or not. Anyway, the point is that THREE is a big number! You get to do all sorts of things when you turn three! Like potty train (PLEASE! Sign up for tumbling or dance lessons. Start having an opinion about your own clothes! Drink out of big kid cups!

But I was outside the Bagdad Theater in Portland on night when I saw a man playing the saxophone. I stood there for fifteen minutes, and he never opened his eyes. After that I liked jazz music.
