And as long as we were at it, and now that we a truly multiple buildings, the naming of the buildings on the exterior was carried to our other buildings. In the main lobby, all of the studwork needed for the walls and ceilings is nearing completion. A shot of the main lower lobby from the upper lobby. The Pit (a.k.a. youth assembly room) is really shaping up. Throw in a ceiling, and it's almost ready to go! Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Some of the steel bars are being formed into grids which are called "mats". These mats will be placed in the concrete footers which will provide the foundation for the new building. The pits for the footers will be dug out next week, and some of the concrete footers may be poured. Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Update as of Wednesday, February 15. Survey points have been taken for the foundation footings, and we probably will see digging for the footings begin next week.
