Into The Frahers: November 2013
http://intothefrahers.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 21, 2013. For a while I've been trying to figure out a good time to capture some new photos of Fletcher to mark his third birthday. He doesn't like the camera and is generally sticky or dirty - or in some form of undress (usually from the sticky dirtiness). And then it hit me! Catch him in his element. (duh). Some of his other birthday celebrations (aside from the big zoo party). That's a lot of cake. A tremendous birthday present surprise! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

ain't this life so sweet: Santa
http://charlaandbarry.blogspot.com/2012/12/santa.html
Ain't this life so sweet. Friday, December 21, 2012. Photo from our original visit to Santa. Eleanor obviously wasn't impressed, although she seemed ok with him today.of course.}. I thought Henry's eyes were going to fall out of his head. "Santa" gave a little ho-ho-ho, waved at us and walked down the hallway through an "employees only" door. Henry didn't say a word until he was out of sight and then looked at me and said, "Why was Santa wearing a baseball cap? But that wasn't the best part. Henry wa...

ain't this life so sweet: June 2011
http://charlaandbarry.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Ain't this life so sweet. Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Feet and Other News. It started out as a very pale purple-ish spot on her leg. The nurses at the hospital thought it was a bruise caused by the security monitor worn on her leg, but the pedi told us it was a birthmark and would get darker and "raised" before starting to fade around six month. In other news, Eleanor has discovered her feet! Soon to be followed, I'm sure, by chewing on her toes. Barry's first Father's Day as a dad of two! My sweet boy is al...

ain't this life so sweet: December 2010
http://charlaandbarry.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Ain't this life so sweet. Sunday, December 26, 2010. Christmas at our house was pretty exciting this year. Henry has no concept of Santa or Baby Jesus or anything else related to Christmas, but he certainly knew something special was in the air. We had lots of time with both families, we had a great Christmas breakfast and dinner, lots of roaring fires, games of Yahtzee and SNOW! It was Henry's first white Christmas and mama's, too! http://charlaandbarry.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Ain't this life so sweet. Thursday, June 28, 2012. Are you on Pinterest? I get so many great cooking/baking ideas there. I created this new board. To keep track of all the recipes I've tried and loved! Tuesday, June 26, 2012. The recovery has been hard on me and the whole family, but I am still glad I did it. I know the results will be worth all this in the long run. Well worth the money. Life at the Lancaster house certainly hasn't stopped while I've been out of commission. We are so very, very luck...

ain't this life so sweet: July 2012
http://charlaandbarry.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Ain't this life so sweet. Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Eleanor has been sick since Saturday and seems to be getting worse, so I kept her home from school today and made an appointment with the pedi. Henry wanted to stay home and go with us (he LOVES going to the doctor.weird kid), but I had his Granny come by and take him to school. Fifteen minutes after she dropped him off they called me to say that he was crying in the corner because his ear hurt. I wanted to wring his little neck! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Into The Frahers: Before and After: The Breakfast Room
http://intothefrahers.blogspot.com/2014/02/before-and-after-breakfast-room.html
Friday, February 14, 2014. Before and After: The Breakfast Room. For a long long long (looooong) time, I have wanted to do something about our breakfast room furniture. For some reason though, despite several moves and updates in other rooms, this one remained it's tired self. It's time had just not come. But they were still functional. Functional. Yeah, like that's how you want to describe your breakfast room - the space in your home, aside from the kitchen, you probably spend the most time in. It all s...

Ain't this life so sweet. Friday, March 1, 2013. There's so much catching up to do I don't know where to start. I so desperately want to use this blog as a tool to capture our family memories, but there seems to be so little time for such things at this phase of our life. But I'll continue to do the best I can. I have many updates and photos to catch up on, but right now I just want to take a moment to catalog a few things I want to remember about Henry at 3.5 and Eleanor at 2 years. She was recently dia...

ain't this life so sweet: May 2012
http://charlaandbarry.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Ain't this life so sweet. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Catching up on some random photos from last week:. We eat almost every breakfast and every dinner together at the kitchen table as a family. It's so, so, very important to Barry and me to have family meals and it has just become habit for us.I can't imagine doing it any other way and I hope the practice sticks as the kids get older. It is my favorite time of any given day to sit back and watch my beautiful children with their devoted Dad. Now that the ki...
