Choosing Joy: Attmeptin to find joy in little things
http://conscious-choice.blogspot.com/2009/03/attmeptin-to-find-joy-in-little-things.html
Saturday, March 21, 2009. Attmeptin to find joy in little things. I am not sure if this is because we live in Southern California, or because this is just life, but life is getting too hectic for me. There are not enough hours in the day to do what I want and need to do and I feel life running away from me. So, I have decided to focus on little things every day. I didn't want to get out of bed this morning, with a little one, staying in bed is not an option. What did Hannah do? Is a great sentence!

Choosing Joy: Time flies...
http://conscious-choice.blogspot.com/2009/04/time-flies.html
Saturday, April 25, 2009. Hannah is officially enrolled in pre-school. She will start a part-time summer program in June and then go to school full time in the fall. How did that happen? When did my sweet little munchkin get to be so big? I can't decide if I am excited or sad. So, I am both. So excited to watch her grow and learn and become the person she is. So sad that time flies so fast, and she will never be this size again. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Podcasts I enjoy and follow.

Choosing Joy: December 2008
http://conscious-choice.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 1, 2008. I feel them creeping up on me. They are just waiting to pounce and make me feel miserable. I shake my finger at you, you stupid blues! This year I will keep you at bay! Well, having a little one will help, plus my husband is in tune to what I do every year. So, here is the plan. 1 Decorate for Christmas (we haven't done this in three years, so tomorrow is the day! 2 Put up a tree on my birthday, much like I used to do as a child. The advent wreath (can I find one here? Spontaneo...

Choosing Joy: February 2009
http://conscious-choice.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 28, 2009. So I made it through Christmas in a much better frame of mind than I have in years. There are several reasons for this I think:. 1 Having a little one around, you cannot not get into the spirit. seeing the wonder and amazement in my daughter's eyes was and is amazing! We read an advent story every night, opened the chocolate calendar every day, and generally just enjoyed the wonder that little ones have around Christmas. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Choosing Joy: October 2008
http://conscious-choice.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 5, 2008. On my mommy board someone posted some awesome questions:. 1 What one word would you use to describe yourself? 2 What one word would your spouse use to describe yourself? Yay for husband who put things into perspective. Friday, October 3, 2008. Not sure if I spelled respite right, oh bother. I spent last weekend in Vegas with an awesome group of moms. I met this group of moms online when I was pregnant with Hannah. This group of moms is incredible! Woo hoo for Vegas!

Choosing Joy: August 2008
http://conscious-choice.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 26, 2008. Someone (thanks, Beth! Asked me once what I liked most about parenting. My answer at the time was that life was no longer just about me. I really relished the non-focus on me. Everyone around me was focused on our little one. Much less energy spent on my part. Now I am realizing that becoming a parent really teaches you about yourself. You learn wayyyyyy more than you ever wanted to know about yourself. Here are some of the things I have figured out. 1 I am very selfish. While I...

Monday, March 9, 2009. A wee bit early! I decided that I am knitting Hannah her easter basket this year. From basket to eggs to chicks and bunnies. Definitely a work in progress, but the chicken and the basket are done! Well, you already know what I think of these two, excellent! March 10, 2009 at 2:51 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Choosing Joy: I finally finished a sweater!
http://conscious-choice.blogspot.com/2009/04/i-finally-finished-sweater.html
Sunday, April 19, 2009. I finally finished a sweater! I did it. I finished Hannah's sweater. It took a bit of tweaking for the final product to be ready. Thus the long pause. I ended up having to re-do the button placket and collar, but I am so pleased at how this came out. Even more than that I am tickled pink at how Hannah loves it and loves to tell people that "mommy made my beautiful sweater! Utter joy found in the fact that not only does she love homemade presents, but she takes pride in them.
