How it all started. Kickin' Ovarian Cancer's *ss. How it all started. On Wed., May 8, 2013 I started to notice my stomach really sticking out. Over the course of the next few days it was getting worse. I also had some pain in my ribs; I assumed it was from the physical therapy I had been getting. I couldn’t have been more wrong. We also met with the doctor who will perform my surgery. He walked in and said “I know exactly what this is and how to treat it.” Talk about putting us at ease. September 18, 2014.
