Scots Wahey!!: July 2005

Thursday, July 28, 2005. Steve Chalke and the Atonement - Update and reply by Daniel Strange. On Steve Chalke and his position on the atonement. Well, he has continued to write and make very clear his poition against the biblical teaching of penal substiution in a recent article, titled (ironically) " Redeeming the Cross. Here, very clearly, are his own convictions:. Which I thoroughly recommend. Explaining that it is vital we do not deemphasise the cross as victory over Satan, or a moral example, fo...

Scots Wahey (my other blog). A few more journals. Thursday, December 01, 2005. Theology, News and Notes. Journal from Fuller Theological Seminary, and one I reckon I may have more disagreements with than agreements, but from a research perspective has full-text online onf pertinant theological issues. Thursday, September 23, 2010. Book Review - Christ Formed in You (Part I). A number of things draw me towards a newly published book. First, there are some publishers that I have come to trust, so when they release a new title, I am naturally drawn to find out more about it (the current book is by Shepherd’s Press, one of these publishers). Then there is the topic: Christ Formed in You The Power of the Gospel for Personal Change. I found particularly helpful) confirmed that I would want to read this title.

Scots Wahey!!: Steve Chalke and the Atonement
http://scotswahey.blogspot.com/2005/04/steve-chalke-and-atonement.html
Thursday, April 28, 2005. Steve Chalke and the Atonement. I've been thinking of blogging on this for a while now, and have sifted through some interesting links and discussions. Then yesterday I find Albert Mohler. Has commented on it, and I find our D. A. Carson has written on it in his book on the Emergent Church (all of the negatively). Against Chalke's position. That was good. However, within a month, they had softened their position. In response to the fact that there were many voices within British...

Musings about how Old Covenant Theology impacts the New Covenant Community as they attempt to embody the Mission of God in and through the person of Christ via the power and presence of the Spirit . . . and the occasional random thought about life, culture, etc. Thursday, March 02, 2006. In closing, I join my voice with the sons of...

Musings about how Old Covenant Theology impacts the New Covenant Community as they attempt to embody the Mission of God in and through the person of Christ via the power and presence of the Spirit . . . and the occasional random thought about life, culture, etc. Monday, November 20, 2006. So what are my conclusions? To be frank with all of you, I do not have an answer to that question articulated in my mind as well as I would like to have it. I will posit this though for the blogsphere to digest and ...
