Morocco. A seat by the window, please. Sunday, June 20, 2010. A few of my favorite things. It took me about 15 minutes to completely answer the question because I had a lot to say, but coincidentally the two greatest things about Morocco can be summed up in the encounter with this man: the food and the people. More to come on life in Morocco in general and travel in particular. Thursday, June 10, 2010. Riding the Marrakesh Express". Take the train from Casablanca going south". Wednesday, June 2, 2010.

We got to Meknes after dark and headed over to the bus station. We had time before the bus to Rissani would leave, so we went to find something to eat. As we were crossing in front of the train station to head to a nearby store, a man leaning against a grand taxi said, "Do you need a taxi my friend? Day 2: Sleep, Soccer and Tajine Therapy. Morocco. A seat by the window, please. Thursday, June 10, 2010. Riding the Marrakesh Express". Last weekend we visited another must-see spot in Morocco: the imperial city of Marrakesh. This beautiful, dynamic city was quite the site to see, but due to an excess of tourism and its interesting effects, we had mixed feelings about the trip. To put it another way, our one night stand in Marrakesh resulted in a bit of a love hate relationship. Take the train from Casablanca going south".

tim quinn's blog: August 2010

http://timjquinn.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 28, 2010. Wrapping up La Rochelle. an amazing time. The picture from above is a picture that I took near the Minimes beach, which was only about a half mile from the university where we took our classes. A few days a week after class, we'd walk down to the beach and relax there for the afternoon. It was a pretty nice way to spend the day. Must be gorgeous. Most of the flowers came from the area, although a few were selling flowers from Holland. And while none of us had really meant inten...

Tuesday, June 29, 2010. The city of light never ceases to amaze. I'm going to try to upload some photos, although facebook might be a better place to check out a few more. see my latest album, "a few from france" at www.facebook.com/timjquinn. This morning we got up super early to head out to versailles, which i'll put pictures up of later, since I haven't put them on my computer. It's no wonder the french people rebelled against the monarchy.that place is such a waste of money it's unbelievable! America...

Friday, July 2, 2010. Normandy is fine and fair. If anyone understands the title reference, I'd be really impressed. it would probably have to be someone who went to middle school with me, but not necessarily. So anyway, I'm in Normandy at the moment! Then we had a picnic along the Seine that was really picturesque. We also were in a great mood, having realized that prices in rural Normandy around roughly 1/5 of the prices in Paris. Check out our picnic spot. (not bad, right? When we arrived, our bungalo...

http://timjquinn.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

Monday, May 24, 2010. So I've set up this blog in case you feel like following what I'm up to this summer, which is pretty jam-packed with activity. I'm starting this summer with research here at Richmond which I'm doing on French literature of the Renaissance. I'm reading a lot of François Rabelais, who wrote Gargantua and Pantagruel, two hilarious, though also thought-provoking, books about two giants. Perhaps I'll throw down a post soon about how the research is going in more depth. But it's gonna be ...

tim quinn's blog: Ahhhh.... La Rochelle

http://timjquinn.blogspot.com/2010/07/ahhhh-la-rochelle.html

Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Finally, I'm in La Rochelle! I got some good photos, like this one:. We then went up into the Abbey of Mt. St. Michel, which I've done before, but it was great to do again. It's simply so old, so it's really hard to believe that i'm standing on a place that was built around a thousand years ago and yet is still in existence. Here is a picture of the prayer courtyard neart the very top of the abbey:. We were pretty anxious about it all, but Sylvie is so nice and makes great food!

Wednesday, November 5, 2014. One, Two, Three, and Sometimes Four. Here is a list of ten truths about parenting a toddler and a newborn that I learned in the first few months that might be helpful if you are about to find yourself in the same position:. 1 On day one of not showering, you feel somewhat European. On day two, you may feel a little edgy, like a rock star on tour or something. On day three, it's a crisis. Find a way to have a shower at least three times a week. Tomato sauce on the carpet?

At a family get together last weekend my Grandpa asked me, "Christina, besides work, what do you do? I thought about it and said, "I go to church.". Everyone laughed.
