2014 Spring Travel Edition: England, Wales & Ireland. June 16, 2014. Middot; 0 comments. At the beginning of this spring, my family and I were able to take a two and a half week trip to England, Wales and Ireland. Besides Canada and a British territory, we had never been able to travel to a foreign country on our travels, so this was a very big and exciting trip for us! And www.homeaway.com. We spent 4 awesome nights there in a renovated stone barn before heading to Wales. We drove 2 hours, stayed fo...

Is Everything Awesome?

http://christinapilkington.com/2014/07/10/is-everything-awesome

July 10, 2014. Middot; 5 comments. If your kids are like mine, you’ve heard this phrase sung in your house no less than 50 times in the last month. With a son who owns no less than 60-70 Lego sets, I guess it was inevitable The Lego Movie would become a favorite at our house. Not that it’s not a cute movie. It is. And, I’ll admit, the theme song has a pretty catchy tune as well. But Have you really ever listened to some of the lyrics? Side by side, you and I gonna win forever, let’s party forever. But so...

The Balance Between Creative Input & Creative Output

http://christinapilkington.com/2014/08/28/the-balance-between-creative-input-creative-output

The Balance Between Creative Input & Creative Output. August 28, 2014. Middot; 0 comments. I love to read. Actually saying I love to read doesn’t accurately describe it. It’s actually more of an obsession. To give you an idea of how much I love to read: I set my Goodreads Challenge Goal this year to read 125 books. I’m actually one book ahead of target now at 82 books read so far this year. The problem with my two passions is that my first passion, reading, requires little creative effort on my part.

They've also read some British history. We talked a lot about French history when we spent a month in Paris. They dip into A History of the World in 100 Objects. February 2017 Living and Learning Wrap-Up. March 2, 2017. Middot; 0 comments. It was a really busy month for us in February- probably one of the more stressful months that I’ve had in a while. I was a meet director this year for The Big Chill which involved spending 20-30 hours per week in January in preparation and over 46 hours during a four day period this month while the meet took place.
