That scene made me think of myself and how I handle hurts: the harsh words that slice through the heart like a newly sharpened knife, the unkind look that drills a hole in my soul, the perceived snubbing that causes my self confidence to crumble, the list goes on and on. So where do I turn when my soul is crying, when my heart is aching? Am I easily distracted by the comforts of the world: food, shopping, activities, the latest exercise regime, etc?

Monday, March 23, 2015. Sunday, March 22, 2015. Over the course of the last few months, Lukas and Noah have been building an airplane. They designed it on the computer, printed out and traced the various parts, cut it out, assembled it and attached a motor. On Sunday, it was finally good enough weather to take it out for its test flight. The boys practiced with Noah's glider and then it was time. Would the plane fly? What would happen when it land? Both are true - he works hard and he plays hard :-).

The front yard needed some weeding, the flower pots needed new flowers and the party tent had to move a few times to achieve just the right effect. Although the weather did not look like it was going to cooperate, the dark dense rainy clouds blew away before the first guests arrived. The garden party could proceed. A journal of my sewing escapades. Simplicity 1873 (Cynthia Rowley). Top of the morning to you,. I hope all is well with each and everyone of you. I have been radio silent, but I have indeed been busy sewing. My first foray into this dress was for the company Christmas party last year. I made view A with C's scoop neckline. I chose size 14 in the bust and graded to a 16 in the waist and hip area. It was true to size. I know that Simplicity patterns can run large at times, but not in this case.
