http://shabbydandelion.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html

I then used some gel medium and a really manky brush to spread some thick lines of gel medium to give texture and resist. Over this Hint of Mint. Time for some stamping, I used Hot Picks 1505. Never used this so wa...

The village was built by Sir Titus Salt for the workers in his textile mill. Production at the factory has now ended and one of the main buildings now houses artworks by David Hockney and others and also various shopping outlets. Salts Mill has a long association with David Hockney. Saltaire village is not a museum, it...

Of Gardens, Grandmothers and Gleanings. Musings on family, gardening, mindfulness, stitching and life as it happens. Sunday, 31 August 2014. We have always loved the way the light cuts across the garden, and the little tender things that catch the eye in the quiet evening. Links to this post. Labels: down in the dell. Wednesday, 27 August 2014. N old piece of pottery, a nice warm colour, with a lovely dappled surface. Initially I had visions of medieval storage jars, all neatly lined up. I've just had th...

shabby dandelion: Ideas and inspiration
http://shabbydandelion.blogspot.com/2015/08/ideas-and-inspiration.html
Sunday, 9 August 2015. Get a cup of your favourite tipple, this is a long post with lots of links! So where do ideas and inspiration come from? Is it images, is it techniques, is it other artists, emotions, the need to say "something" themes or challenges? What ever it is there is plenty out there and sometimes there is none to be found and no matter how much "stuff" (paper, fabric, yarn, paint, stamps .) you have, they stay unused or whatever you do make you don't like and it gets discarded. Exhibitions...
