Take out the meat, place on a platter and pour a little Worcestershire sauce and some soy sauce on the filets. Let them sit about 20 minutes in the sauce at room temperature. It is really worth it to get one of those battery-operated forks to test for the proper doneness. Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Those Asian Scallops I made for Carole. It has ginger, t...

Christine Cooks: October 2012

http://christineiscooking.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, October 28, 2012. My bread is like a brick and meet my new Precious. My bread is like a brick but I love my new Precious. I started with bread making in my new mixer. I bought new yeast from Bob's Red Mill the other day. I thought maybe the yeast I had was old? Maybe that might help? But I am not ruining another loaf until I learn more about what I am doing wrong. Christine Cooks: Lebanese Lentil and Noodle Soup

http://christineiscooking.blogspot.com/2011/03/lebanese-lentil-and-noodle-soup.html

Saturday, March 26, 2011. Lebanese Lentil and Noodle Soup. My friend, Marie, makes the best lentil soup. She won't give me the recipe. So, I keep buying Lebanese cookbooks to try and duplicate it. Note to Marie: Please share. Sharing is good. The nuns would approve. Lebanese Lentil and Noodle Soup. This is easy, has no meat, so no grease to skim off - or clog our body parts - and comes out great. I adapted this recipe from Alice's Kitchen cookbook - Traditional Lebanese Cooking. Come on, share.

Christine Cooks: June 2013

http://christineiscooking.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Those Asian Scallops I made for Carole. I was visiting my sister, Carole, this Spring and I made this recipe for her and her hubby, Bruce. My nephew, Brian, has been bugging, I mean asking me for this recipe. I have a day off and can now blog again. It has ginger, thin Thai noodles, vegetables. You will need thin wooden, bamboo skewers. It's quick, easy and very tasty. It is from, "Asian Noodles" by Nina Simonds. Serves about 6 people. Or 5 people and one cat. 6 tbls. water.

Going Nuts!

Updates on the life and challenges of having an adult child and two young ones. Sunday, January 17, 2010. Something is going on. But what, we have no clue. Poor Dude has been extra hyper, clicking and grunting in place of words, and generally being a strung out little bugger. Who knows what has triggered this round but I'm really hoping that we find it soon. Did I mention the train ride we took before Christmas? Waiting to board the train:. Cookies and hot chocolate for a treat:. One of our Elves:. I gue...

Christineishere * * You are, too! Tuesday, March 29, 2011. This winter will not quit, and neither will my obsession with knitting socks.
