Christine McCoy's Recent Works Journal. Sunday, October 31, 2010. Today we worked on painting portraits from life with John Ebersberger. He expected a lot from us and I like it that way. He makes us really try to take it further than we have before. We had yesterday afternoon and today to work on it. Again, I was trying to establish the planes of the face. I can see places where I would like to adjust but for the amount of time that we had to work on it, I am very happy. Today's model is Jessica Terneus.

The other day we met my parents at the cabin they are staying at in Maine and came armed with 2 DOZEN Dunkin Donuts. The girls were in their glory as I don't think they have ever seen that many donuts in their possesion at once. The count on donuts eaten that they gave me was 3 each, but given that they were hanging out with Grandma I suspect the count is more like 6 each!

This one was supposed to go with my other memory paintings in the new exhibit at Time and Tide Gallery this week, but it didn't make the cut. I should say it didn't make my personal cut,because I think I am harder on myself than any jury or gallery director! The slightly violet haze to it is from the camera. You are too hard on yourself but thats an endearing trait.
