Friends - chronicles from the fourth decade

http://christinerg.livejournal.com/107445.html

I just realized that I currently dont have any. God, that must be a burden for Glen. You do, they are just a ways away. Moving made me realize the difference between my (real) friends and people I hang out with. by friends I meant women born within a decade of me. Besides, you are family. I guess we are more like sisters than friends. i think a lot of people consider you to be their friend; but maybe that's because they need you for something.

Letter from Tolstoy to his son - chronicles from the fourth decade

http://christinerg.livejournal.com/106099.html

Letter from Tolstoy to his son. Your purpose in life must not be the joy of wedlock, but, by your life to bring more love and truth into the world. The object of marriage is to help one another in the attainment of that purpose. Only when you have chosen the highest, you must set your whole heart on it, and not just a little. Just a little leads to nothing. There, I am tired of writing, and still have much left that I wanted to say. I kiss you. Enwikisource.org/wiki/Tolstoy letter to.

The Return of Roderick and Naomi - Uninformed Comment. September 15th, 2007. 07:44 am - The Return of Roderick and Naomi. Someone told me my old picture - the fake "sketch" style thing which cuts off the top of my head - makes me look like "a middle-aged balding lecher" or something like that. I'm not balding, so for the moment we're back to good ol' Roderick Chisholm. Who remains a stock figure of intellectual probity in my world. Also, in case anybody missed it: Naomi Klein.

Where I'm At - Uninformed Comment. July 2nd, 2009. 11:08 pm - Where I'm At. So where I'm at, literally, is in Peterborough, Ontario. It is of course the story of how I got here, and why, that's the telling part. I think it would be cool if I could assign a theme for each year of my life. 2007, for example, was the Year I Didn't Die. Now, I didn't die in 2008 either and 2009 –.

http://cja120.livejournal.com/17490.html

Of Strange Dreams - Uninformed Comment. March 18th, 2008. 10:24 pm - Of Strange Dreams. I am for some reason thinking about that bit in Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Where they come across a section of the world where dreams come true. Not dreams as in hopes and aspirations, dreams as in stuff that goes down in your head when you're asleep. Even at a very young age I could tell this was going to be trouble. On an unrelated note, here's Iggy and the Stooges.
