Aka De Beauvoir Square, N1). Lovely Laura, my Romaniac pal, and her family coming to visit for the day. Meeting another of my equally lovely Romaniac pals, Jan Brigden, for lunch. Realising Jan and I had talked non-stop for 3 hours and I had 50 minutes to get from Victoria to Hammersmith. A very impressive building.

Corfu, and another writing course, beckoned. When friends (.com.fr) who lived in the south of France invited me to stay, what’s a girl to do but say, ‘Yes, please.’?
