Sonicology: June 2009
http://sonicology.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
A Study of Sonic Youth. Thursday, June 4, 2009. The fourth song on the album Murray Street is called "Karen Revisited.". This song appears on the album as "Karen Revisited" but appears on every setlist as "Karenology." It has been told by Lee that the official title of the song is "Karenology" and was not changed in time to be changed for the pressing of the album. After that, I usually skip the rest of the song, sorry guys. It gets used and kicked around a lot. Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Rain On Tin" was pl...

Sonicology: November 2009
http://sonicology.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
A Study of Sonic Youth. Monday, November 2, 2009. The 5th song on the LP. Is called "Jams Run Free.". I have always wondered what this song was about. The only portion of the song that could/would allude to any sort of meaning is the first set of lyrics: " Blast ID earth, OM immersed, gold in cave, the blondes come first." The lryics were written by Thurston, so abstract is the name of the game, but is he referring to the end of the world? Those that are judged in the end? Did Thurston find religion?

Saturday, May 3, 2008. On Wednesday Nicole and I went to Iron Fork, a foodtastic. Event held LP Field club area. Basically, chefs from Nashville's most bangin. Restaurants came and competed in an Iron Chef-style competition (secret ingredient: fiddlehead. And, most importantly, there was free food. Well, a little bit of it. I was really hoping that I would have some sprawling account of Wednesday's activities for you, dear ETTB. And I still had lots of fun. Go visit Nashville Scene Bites. Digsy Has a Blog.

Wednesday, June 4, 2008. It's been a long time. So, we've majorly slacked off on updating this thing. We've been super busy doing all kinds of fun stuff. Here a quick list of what we've been up to over the last month or so:. Elvis Costello at the Ryman. This was my tenth time seeing him and coincidentally my tenth year of fandom. Since I am really lame that was kind of a special show for me. He played for a long-ass time and pulled out a few rare gems such as "Beyond Belief" and "You Belong to Me". My fa...

Eat To The Beat: April 2011
http://eattothebeat.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 8, 2011. Just a quick post to share a great recipe I found via Tastespotting. I recently bought 4 pouches of red quinoa via Amazon and was dragging my feet with finding recipes to use it in. And luckily had most of the ingredients on hand. I made it last night with a few modifications. I didn't have kalamata olives so I used capers in order to still get that brine-y, salty flavor. I also omitted the oregano because I normally don't enjoy dried oregano (it makes me think of pizza!
