The Qwillery: 2011 DAC
http://qwillery.blogspot.com/p/2011-dac.html
A blog about books and other things. Review Policy / Contact. On twitter, late last year, a friend asked if anyone had any reading challenges for 2011. I had decided to read at least one speculative fiction debut author (non-YA) per month in 2011. For me speculative fiction includes Urban Fantasy, Fantasy (High or Epic), Paranormal Romance, Science Fiction, SciFi Romance, Paranormal Mystery, Paranormal Thriller, Steampunk, and Historical Fantasy. There's more, but you get the idea. Happy New Reading Year!

Scary Ass Books: Podcasts
http://scaryassbooks.blogspot.com/2012/01/podcasts.html
I'm picky and I love horror fiction. Thursday, January 12, 2012. One thing many people don't know about me is that I'm really into podcasts. I've even appeared one and "told my story". No, I'll never tell which one, I hate my recorded voice. I ended up sounding like a cross between Truman Capote and Gomer Pyle (I'm not kidding). Two of the best horror podcasts out there are:. Today I started listening to the talented Tim Pratt. Three-part story, From Around Here. On the ever delightful Cast Macabre.

Scary Ass Books: Trinity
http://scaryassbooks.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-trinity.html
I'm picky and I love horror fiction. Monday, October 15, 2012. First of all, let me say how much I loved this new Darkfuse. Title from Kristin Dearborn. Hard to believe this is her debut novel! Like many of you, there’s just not enough hours in the day that I can allot to reading for pleasure. Once I started Trinity. It commanded, no.more like demanded. That I drop everything and just read, I was hooked in early on. Novels about “visitors”. Aren't my usual fare because I tend to go for more traditional.

Scary Ass Books: Book Review: Deep Night
http://scaryassbooks.blogspot.com/2012/03/deep-night.html
I'm picky and I love horror fiction. Thursday, March 1, 2012. Book Review: Deep Night. This is my first Greg Gifune. Novel and I have to say that I was very impressed. The man can write. I felt every character, step-by-step, breath-by-breath as they walked through this intricate, slowly evolving story of the deepest, darkest impending doom. Is slow in coming and doesn’t creep to its pounding crescendo until the very end. I was instantly reminded of the Jody Foster. You know the one…. Or is it demons?
