Working in and around the Business of Acting: February 2011
http://christopherhalladay.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Working in and around the Business of Acting. Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Starting a Theater Company. They're all over the place, EVERYONE seems to have one, many seem to just disappear. Well, let's face it. We are in a business that requires us to be seen, and quite often, whether or not that happens depends on someone else. So.why not give yourself that control for a change? Having your own theater company can certainly provide you a venue in which to showcase you and your colleague's talents.

Working in and around the Business of Acting: The Rehearsal Process...
http://christopherhalladay.blogspot.com/2011/03/rehearsal-process.html
Working in and around the Business of Acting. Tuesday, March 1, 2011. I have observed in my years different actors tackle the rehearsal process in many different ways. The one rule that we must adhere to is this: In Rehearsal (mind you). No one cares about your process! Here's the thing, while a good director might be aware of an actor's needs and work with them - bottom line - it is not their job to do so. Show up, do the work, take your notes, apply them, go home. Labels: Letters to a Young Actor.

Working in and around the Business of Acting: May 2011
http://christopherhalladay.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Working in and around the Business of Acting. Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Technology, part 2. Mind you, technology is not all bad:. Technology brings to the actor added responsibility. Well, whether it be acquainting oneself with the style of a TV show, or the period in which a play is set - we now have access to so much information. Hulu, or YouTube provide the actor with a wonderful resource to gain insight into any show's style, plot-points and setting. It's all out there, at your finger-tips.

Working in and around the Business of Acting: September 2009
http://christopherhalladay.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Working in and around the Business of Acting. Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Yes, the dreaded audition. If you have an agent-you've gotten the call: this is the show, this is what you're up for, here are your sides. If you don't have an agent-you've probably found out this information already on your own, and just heard back from from those to whom you submitted. You have the audition. You've prepared (we'll talk about that later), and you head into the room, ready to go! Butthen, why did I get the part?

Working in and around the Business of Acting: Knowing when to say "when"
http://christopherhalladay.blogspot.com/2011/04/knowing-when-to-say-when.html
Working in and around the Business of Acting. Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Knowing when to say "when". I recently had to make a tough decision:. I have resigned from a theater company with whom I worked for the past 18 months. While this was a tremendously difficult choice, it was also a huge learning experience for me. Why am I writing about this? No, not to gossip, dish, nor gripe. (I still wish the best for them, hope for their success and would welcome an invitation to work again). No, but as a company m...

Working in and around the Business of Acting: October 2011
http://christopherhalladay.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Working in and around the Business of Acting. Saturday, October 29, 2011. An actor, during his or her career will more often-than-not deal with a bad director. Whether it be total incompetence, lack of vision, or. whatever; many times an actor can be literally left out to dry by bad, or inept direction. Of course, bad directors usually don't know they're bad.there lies the paradox. Even if it means taking their "bad" direction and translating into something "good" or "actable" for yourself. Lastly, there...

Working in and around the Business of Acting. Sunday, April 17, 2011. Technology and the Actor. I've had this posting in my edit bay for sometime, but today's New York Times. Article (Fashion and Style section) provided me the kick in the ass I needed to post. Keep Your Thumbs Still When I Talk to You. It has happened. And we know it happens the other way - It was not long ago that a tweeting scandal broke out when a prominent New York casting director was found to be tweeting not only during actor a...

What’s in the works…. What’s in the works…. I would be hard pressed to find another actor with whom I’ve shared the stage, who worked so diligently to find the honesty in his work. He never feared asking questions and seeking the truth behind his performance. I would work with this gentleman again and again! 4-time Emmy Award Winner for Guiding Light. Echoes of Stanley Kowalski are conjured by Christopher Halladay. Subtle and wonderful work. 2-time Tony Award winning actress, 2-time Academy Award Nominee.

Hålen i golvet,. Fiskehuset var inte störra än sådär. Fotot taget från dörren. Utkast: Dec. 31, 2012. Julfirandet var bra, men inte som hemma. Julafton spenderades i kyrkan och sedan mi...
Christopher Haller's Personal Website
Hello, I'm Christopher Haller. Welcome to my website. I'd like to share a little about myself, my projects, and my work through this site. I've had a passion for electronics since I was quite small. When I was 12 years old, I remember riding my bicycle two miles to Radio Shack to buy a Forrest M. Mims III 'Engineer's Mini-Notebook". The sales clerk wasn't too happy counting the pennies and nickles I used to make the purchase. And no, the title doesn't really need to be that long. Basically, the thesi...
