We will also have a Varsity team where a BUCS style competition will be held at Trenley Park against our rivals Christchurch! This will be for regular riders who are either not experienced enough to ride on teams (we have walk and trot dressage and small show jumping course available) and also for anyone who unfortunately didn't make it onto teams! As expected, last year we beat Christchurch by a substantial margin and we want to do the same this year! So we'd like dedication from anyone involved!

TRAINING AND TEAM SELECTION. We know timetables and money are an issue with some (what with us being students an' all, we are aware we should learn at least a little something whilst we're here and budgets are tight! But we as a committee are trying really hard to get training subsidised and if anything becomes a problem we will always try to help and work something out!

BUCS - UKC Equestrian Club
http://www.ukcequestrianclub.com/bucs.html
The BUCS competition is unique in equestrianism as all riders must compete on borrowed horses. This removes a barrier to participation as students do not need to own a horse. In addition the riders must compete in BOTH dressage and show jumping with the combined scores making up the final results for both individual and team scores. The Championship and Trophy finals (which we have managed to get to two years running!
