Chronic Parenting: Revising Expectations of Family life: Parenting with Chronic pain and illness.

http://www.chronicparenting.com/2014/01/revising-expectations-of-family-life.html

Monday, January 13, 2014. Revising Expectations of Family life: Parenting with Chronic pain and illness. A great resource that many have found to explain chronic illness and chronic pain of all types to "non-sufferers" is the The Spoon Theory. Another great resource to check out is You Don't LOOK Sick! Living Well with Invisible Chronic Illness. Most importantly be sure to enjoy your life your family and not dwell on the what ifs and what you can't do. Instead focus on the here and now. http://www.chronicparenting.com/2014/01/know-what-you-can-and-cant-do.html

Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Know what you can and can't do. But also know what you CAN do is just as important and special as what you CAN'T do as a parent. Of course as parents we always want to push ourselves to do those activities we think we have to do. Oh he also do some writing practice while I "supervised" from the couch. Any cold remedies tips? Leave them in the comments below! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://www.chronicparenting.com/2014/01/homeschooling-with-chronic-pain.html

Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Homeschooling with Chronic pain! As we close day two of homeschooling with chronic pain I have learned a lot. 1: It doesn't really matter WHEN we start just that we finish most of what we set out to do by bedtime. 2: kindergarten is supposed to be fun and is largely so. 3: Be careful about including too much high activity and/or activities that require standing in a single day. Thank you for the creator of that great resource as it has helped a lot! All in all I think it has bee...

June 03, 2015. Spring 2015: A semester retrospective. June 03, 2015. If pain is weakness, I had no room for pain and no time for weakness. This past semester I was faced with a challenge far beyond what I was capable of accomplishing. I knew the moment it began. I knew. It began. But I survived. Actually, I thrived.
