Thursday, April 17, 2014. I love to Arboretum. It's free. It's beautiful. It's a place we've taken the kids since they were babies. I love the learning. I love the smells. Wednesday, February 19, 2014. My baby boy is growing up way too quickly. He has gained about 7 pounds since his tonsils were removed which is starting to make him almost too heavy to carry. Never before did I ever carry my other kiddos when they were 4 and 1/2 years old.The kids and I have been working on our addresses and writing letters this week. The theme this year is "Pajama Party," so the girls wore their pjs. Jacob wasn't keen on wearing his flannel pants to school so he opted for more neutral wear. I can't believe this is Cate's last year. Wasn't she just this little? Tuesday, February 24, 2015. That means she will go to Atlanta to swim as well! Watch out Olympics, here comes Cate!

Wednesday was the 5th grade recognition ceremony followed by a reception in Claire's Garden. Cate received an award for the IB character trait "Inquirer! After the reception, a group of 5th graders met at our pool for a pool party while the others were at school! Welcome summer…we are ready for you, I hope! Food from the Forest.

Over 10 years ago, adoption was planted as a seed in the hearts of both Jacob and I. Newly married and not knowing the plans God had for us in regards to a family, we wondered if adoption would be woven into our family make up. We quickly became pregnant with Cate. Capturing the darling moments of our everyday lives. Tuesday, March 17, 2015. We went to Atlanta last weekend for the Eastern Sectional Age Group Championships at Georgia Tech. It was a fun weekend of swimming for Cate. She swam 4 events between Friday and Sunday and got best times in 3 of 4 events. It was the site of the 1996 Summer Olympic games so what an honor to swim there. It was a beautiful facility. Such a nice treat for us! Guess we know that to do for cheap entertainment now!

I feel like I have failed to mention what an amazing travel companion Cate was during our time in China. She was adventurous, a risk taker, a huge help and a great big sister. I also want to say thank you to all those who prayed for us while we were in China. We really felt supported and lifted up by those prayers. God is good and gracious!
