There are many different ways to catch a chub. Apr 29, 2015. Winter's Cum and Gone. Winter's cum and gone again. Unfortunately I have only fished the early season driftless twice, both in march, both cold with slow spooky trout. Mainly just tying knots and drinking beer next to a stream. The chubs have eluded me so far this season, but spring is here and I will catch a chub one way or another! No more snowy banks, time to break out the chacos and get the feet wet. He could be on the cover of a beer bottle.

There are many different ways to catch a chub. Jul 31, 2015. Back in the University days a few of the Chubs crew frequented a small creek in Ohio to escape studying and football practice. We drank Labatt, smoked bugler, found a bunch of cow and deer bones, and caught a few smallmouth. We also got harassed by the Ohio grassman at one point for checking out his hut. Grassman hut circa 2008, he threw rocks at us. Back in the day the cows would watch us fish and drink. Back in this with the fly rods.

Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Cinco de Mayo. A day late. In lieu of Cinco de Mayo yesterday, we decided to make some salmon tacos from the fresh coho caught over the weekend (Thanks Eric). Simple process really, cut skinless salmon into strips, then lightly sprinkle with salt, pepper, chili powder and cumin if you choose. Pan sear both sides in some olive oil. Labels: Cinco de Mayo. Sunday, April 13, 2014. The three of us, (Eric the Doc and myself) motored into the dark and began setting lines. All 8 lines were in the water 15 minutes prior to first light. Not bad considering I mostly pointed the flashlight while the Doctor set his rigs and Eric piloted the boat. The sun began to burn above the horizon. For a few moments, it's as if there is a fire burning on the surface of the water. My first open water fish of the season, is this healthy little brown trout. Like us on Facebook.
