Man’s check shirt from Paul Smith fabric – Yes I Like That
https://yesilikethat.wordpress.com/2014/12/17/mans-check-shirt-from-paul-smith-fabric
Yes I Like That. Man’s check shirt from Paul Smith fabric. December 17, 2014. December 17, 2014. I was very late making this birthday present for Alex (6 weeks) and now I’m even later blogging about it. It’s a man’s shirt (duh), sewn from the pattern I traced. From one of his existing shirts. The fabric is Paul Smith flannel which I got from Croft Mill about a year ago. It’s super-soft but the trade-off is that it’s pilling already. Oh well. I used these excellent tutorials for some of the fiddly bits:.

Autumn fabric haul – Yes I Like That
https://yesilikethat.wordpress.com/2012/11/02/autumn-fabric-haul
Yes I Like That. November 2, 2012. Recently I got bitten by the autumn cleaning bug and had a massive, remorseless clearout. It began with a simple wardrobe tidy. But once I started on the pit of tangled old belts, holey jumpers, and unloved shoes, I just couldn’t stop. I was chucking stuff out left, right and centre in a cleaning frenzy! One thing that got the chop was a bag of old fabric scraps. Do you keep these? I do keep the bigger pieces for collars/pocket linings. This is almost like a heavy chees...

Sunday, May 12, 2013. The Young Girls by the Sea. The Young Girls by the Sea, Vogue Italia - Steven Meisel 1997. As part of my job, I spend a lot of time doing fashion research. I feel lucky enough to come across some excellent stories I am too young to have seen the first time around. This story by Meisel happens to be one of my most favorite, so I thought I'd share. The rest of the story is after the jump. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Thank you, ok. Through a Glass Darkly.

Wardrobe Dreaming: July 2012
http://www.wardrobedreaming.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 12, 2012. Image - My own (Iphone). I have been living in New York for over 3 months now! I really really do love this city. It is everything you would hope it to be and then it goes and surprises you (in both positive and negative ways). I've definitely already had some highs and a few lows. Luckily, mostly good experiences. It's a tough city and working in fashion is hard when you make no money! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Thank you, ok. Through a Glass Darkly.

Wrong, the shorts were $25. I was the idiot. So I was quite amazed that even though I got those same-old facial expression was she high when she bought this?
