Church Farm House and North Lopham are easily found, just follow these simple directions. The village of South Lopham is on the Thetford Road (A1066) between Garboldisham and Bressingham. If you are coming from the Thetford/Garboldisham direction, drive through the village for about a quarter of a mile, and then take the left turn (Church Road), signposted to North Lopham. If you are coming from the Diss/Bressingham direction, Church Road is on the right after The White Horse pub as you enter South Lopham.

North Lopham is a thriving agricultural village with a church, school, pub (The Kings Head), shop and post office, and on the fourth Saturday of each month there is a farmers' market held at the Village Hall. The village has a long history, sometimes referred to as 'Lopham Magna', and is mentioned in the Domesday Book (1086). In more modern times, North Lopham was well known for its fine linens, commissioned for the royal household of Queen Victoria.

It is the oldest-surviving dwelling in London. The red brick, two storeys and three gables are typical of architecture in 17th century Middlesex.
