The Church of Type. Is the new Letterpress Studio of Kevin Bradley, one of America’s most prolific letterpress printmakers. From his early days at Hatch Show Print in Nashville to his 15 year run as the founder of Yee Haw Industries in Knoxville, Tennessee, his work has been instrumental in redefining the idea of contemporary letterpress. In the summer of 2012, I visited the city of Santa Monica for my first Sabbatical in 17 years with the idea of reconnecting with my love of typography through printmaking. I brought a sampling of wood type with me from Tennessee: only one letter of each alphabet and in a variety of sizes from 3 pica to 72 pica. The Robot Sessions produced a series 65 one-sheet prints (30′x42′) on Arches paper. These one-of-a-kind monoprints are available at my online store. 2016 Church of Type. Send to Email Address.
