Sweet and Sunny Lo. Welcome to Sweet and Sunny Lo. NO SUGAR ADDED. Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Hail Halloween, one of the few days where feeding the poor and disenfranchised is recommended, if only in sweets. Unfortunately, I've long been too old for trick-or-treating, which is the domain of small kids and the candically addicted. However, they've been giving out a fair bit of candy at school, thanks to benevolent instructors and students. This should happen everyday. Posted by MistaLobo @ 4:51 PM. So, I ...

Sweet and Sunny Lo. Welcome to Sweet and Sunny Lo. NO SUGAR ADDED. Sunday, November 27, 2005. Trunks and the Future. So, I just saw the Grey Cup. Yes, the Eskimos won. In an entertaining game, which was great, me being an Edmontonian and all. During the halftime show, the Black Eyed Peas. Also, my dad had no idea what th. Ey were singing about, and I really didn't want to describe what lumps, humps, and junk in the trunk. I read an interesting article about Ray Kurzweil. A futurist who is either genius o...

Sweet and Sunny Lo. Welcome to Sweet and Sunny Lo. NO SUGAR ADDED. Sunday, July 01, 2007. Hunting Season and Ziplines. So, I went to Calgary for a couple days with a bunch of PharmaFriends. We went to AHEIA. Calgary Firearms Centre, which confuses the hell out of you by using a name that is deliberately uninformative and mysterious. In fact, even in the Yellow Pages, the listing mentioned no address and only a URL and phone number. Also, I went on the Zipline. A new thing at Calgary Olympic Park. S.

Sweet and Sunny Lo: December 2005
http://sweetandsunnylo.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Sweet and Sunny Lo. Welcome to Sweet and Sunny Lo. NO SUGAR ADDED. Saturday, December 31, 2005. By now, the effects of the painkillers and sleep-inducing agents have largely worn off, but I am still in pain and feel tired. A couple days snowboarding at Marmot Basin will do that to you. The weather was nice, but the skiing conditions were not that great, with a lot of icy patches, especially on the lower, more heavily used runs. To rent or to buy a snowboard, that is the perennial dilemma. I rented. As I ...

The Lazy Asian: June 2006
http://lazyasian.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 30, 2006. European condom commercials are generally much more entertaining than American condom commercials. Probably because they can actually talk about sex. Take this one from the Netherlands for example. It features a hot woman in a stewardess uniform - always a guaranteed crowd pleaser. It about the stewardess uniform? Is it the image of authority it conveys? Or maybe it's the image of servitude. Or maybe it's the fact that when she's asks " Beef or chicken? Thursday, June 29, 2006.

The Lazy Asian: April 2006

Friday, April 28, 2006. Nothing is more effective at eliciting a reaction than streaking and farting in front of a local television news reporter. And by reaction I mean a very awkward " Oh my goodness. The reporter is shocked but she really shouldn't be. After all, she's on the campus of Western Washington University. I don't know anything about that school, but given it's location - I'm guessing there's not a lot to do besides streaking and farting. Posted by Lazy Asian @ 8:18 AM. We all know it's real...

Monday, July 31, 2006. Pam Anderson's Wedding Dress Designer. Over the weekend, Pam Anderson married her on-again, off-again boyfriend Kid Rock aboard a yacht in St. Tropez, France. Say what you may - but they really do deserve each other - since they're the only two people in the world that can make a wedding on a yacht in the French Riviera NOT classy. Sweet and Sunny Lo. Welcome to Sweet and Sunny Lo. NO SUGAR ADDED. Sunday, January 15, 2006. Me and a classmate of mine have always casually wondered, "Where do all the Asian girls in town go to have fun? But on Friday night, we discovered where are the Oriental girls hung out: bubble tea shops. And it was a relaxed atmosphere, where people were playing dominos, and a gam. E I don't think I had ever seen played in person: Jenga. Maybe next time I'll bring a deck of cards and play poker for the bill.

Friday, April 28, 2006. I fear getting dooced, but oh! The stories I could tell about my workplace and coworkers! Such a peculiar lot. Better to be safe than sorry, I suppose. Monday is Lei Day. This weekend is SPAM JAM. I am planning on participating in both. I think I will take heaps of photographs this weekend. I will play show and tell here. I am feeling particularly artsy fartsy, and a picture is worth a thousand words, right? Posted by tee dub @ 1:02 PM. Thursday, April 27, 2006. An automated spinn...

Decision Rules: May 2006

Tuesday, May 02, 2006. I am fascinated by Asian tourists. I’m in a good place for having such an interest. More than 6 million people visit the state, with nearly a quarter of those visitors being from Japan. People-watching was one of my favorite hobbies when I lived in Korea. I’d take a book to a local coffee shop, grab a seat by a window and pretend to read while studying people (in a subtle, un-creepy way of course.). Reoccuring themes (and excuse the sweeping stereotypes and generalizations here):.
