Saturday, 29 March 2008. March has been very cold and snowy, but very beautiful. The log cabin is very comfortable and cosy. Retirement is great. It is wonderful to do what you want when you want. Our plans are going well for our trip to Europe. We leave Scotland on 10th April and after camping in various places and visiting Robbie, Emily and Arran in Manchaster, and also Jamie's family in Bath we leave England by ferry from Portsmouth to Caen on 13 th May. Thursday, 13 March 2008. Christmas and New Year.

Friday, 8 August 2008. Robbie, Emily and Arran's farewell. 27th July - 7th August. We spent a wonderful 10 days in and around Razac D'Eymet, the home of Emily's Mum and. Robert. The weather was fantastic, the food and wine was even better. Although we were all sad to see them go away. We all realise that they will have a wonderful life in New Zealand. Our thanks go to Robert and Sarah for their hospitality. Hamish and Aoife loved the swimming pools and became very confident in the water.

Sunday, 13 July 2008. Lake Annecy 9th July. We went to Lake Annecy on 9th July, cycled round the lake and also had a swim in the lake. Lake Annecy is beautiful. Here are a few photos of our trip there. We also met up with Ian's sister Margaret and her friend Linda who were on holiday in Angon, on the lake. We had a lovely meal with them at their hotel.
