Prepare Every Needful Thing

Meals in a Jar: Real Life Update (Chicken Noodle Skillet Meal). Friday, May 30, 2014. Chicken Noodle Skillet Meal in a Jar. We pulled this meal out for dinner this week. Just wanted to update everyone on what we thought! The original called for freeze-dried turkey, but I substituted chicken tvp instead (because that's what I had on hand). Jar was still fully sealed and nothing smelled or tasted stale at all. Overall, a decent meal that only took 10 minutes to put on the table, from start to finish! This ...

Prepare Every Needful Thing: Food Storage Entree - Pesto Ranch Chicken

http://cimarronfoodstorage.blogspot.com/2013/11/food-storage-entree-pesto-ranch-chicken.html

Food Storage Entree - Pesto Ranch Chicken. Wednesday, November 13, 2013. I bring you.Pesto Ranch Chicken! 8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs. 6 oz jar of pesto. 1 pkg ranch dressing mix. 1/2 c chicken broth. That's all there is! Place the chicken thighs in the bottom of your crock pot. Pour the pesto over the top and then sprinkle on the dressing mix. Carefully add in the broth (so you don't wash all the pesto off the chicken). Cook on low for 6-8 hrs or on high for about 4 hrs. Meals in a Jar.

More Mixes - Dressings, Seasonings and Soup Mixes! Monday, September 30, 2013. I've got some great little mixes for you today! These are so handy to have around, and they get used often. I have so many recipes that call for packets of ranch dressing mix, or Italian dressing mix, or onion soup mix, and I can never seem to keep enough around. And don't forget the taco seasoning! Hidden Valley-ish" Ranch Mix. 1/2 c buttermilk powder. 1 T dried parsley. 1 t dried dill weed. 1 t onion powder. 2 T kosher salt.

Going into the slow cooker for dinner tonight.Three Packet Pot Roast! Wednesday, February 12, 2014. It's a fairly gray and overcast day today, so I'm feeling in the mood for something substantial and "homey" for dinner tonight. Bring on the pot roast and mashed potatoes! This one is really easy, and uses basic stuff from your food storage. Three Packet Pot Roast. 1 envelope Italian dressing mix. 1 envelope ranch dressing mix (you can see I've used my homemade mix here - 1 Tbsp.). Meals in a Jar.

Prepare Every Needful Thing: What I'm Buying - Smith's 11/6

http://cimarronfoodstorage.blogspot.com/2013/11/what-im-buying-smiths-116.html

What I'm Buying - Smith's 11/6. Wednesday, November 6, 2013. But this week has been FABULOUS for some great stock-up sales so far! Monday found me at three different stores - Walmart (to price match), then Harmon's (because WM didn't have some of the things I wanted to price match) and Smiths to catch the end of last week's sale. I was able to score several packages of boneless skinless chicken breasts for 1.29/lb! I ALWAYS seem to miss the meat markdowns, so this was a rare score for me.). 4) Challenge ...

Prepare Every Needful Thing: January 2013

http://cimarronfoodstorage.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Yes, folks, it DOES work in winter! Sunday, January 13, 2013. Just in case you were wondering, because I know I certainly was. The Sun Oven DOES work in the winter! There is 3 inches of snow on the ground today AND the high was only 19F outside! Internal temp got to just above 300F. We set it up emtpy today because we wanted to make sure it really would work before trying to cook a meal in it. But with food in there, I think the internal temp would have gotten even higher. Thursday, January 10, 2013.

The Gooch Fam: June 2010

http://thegoochfamilycircus.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Adventures of the Gooch Family. Our family made a weekend trip to Cedar City this past weekend for the Summer Games. Both boys played this year. The first exciting thing that happened was that Dave didn't get Swine Flu! Last year, Dave spent the entire week in the hotel room with the flu. I have never seen him so sick. But, this year was so fun. We actually had good weather for the most part and had so much fun watching the boys. So this month has been a very busy one for sure! A really great occasion wa...

Adventures of the Gooch Family. Finally on Monday November 8th 2010 at 3:18pm our little Eli came into this world! I was so ready for him to arrive. The day couldn't have gone smoother. We walked into the IMC hospital at 7:15am to be induced and I arrived to find my personal nurse for the day already setting my room up. Our friend Susan Lake came in on her day off to help with the delivery. She was awesome! I was so elated that I didn't even care and have been recovering nicely! We are now a table for 7!

Adventures of the Gooch Family. Rain Rain go Away! So Dave and I gave our kids an awesome Christmas gift. Disneyland for a week! We were so excited and the kids were going crazy about it. Then it came. The rain that is. I checked the weather the day before we left and it said a day and a half of light rain. All of our friends tried to reassure us that California rain was different and it shouldn't have any impact at all. They would all be shocked! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Adventures of the Gooch Family. Soccer and Shakespeare have been our February consuming activities! Over Valentine's weekend we had the opportunity to go to St. George for the Ice Breakers cup for Brinton. The weather was awesome and it was fun to see Brinton be able to have his own weekend. Unfortunately for their team, they were playing against U-11 teams which means they were a year older. When they did play one team that was their age, they blew them away! They ended their soccer tournament on a win!

Adventures of the Gooch Family. Where did it go? I realized the other day that I hadn't blogged for that long! I began to look back at the posts on my blog and some of our most important events have happened in the last three years. So this is my post to catch up on those lost times! Bear with me for this will be a long one. In the previous post we had just sold our home of 12 years and moved in with my parents to find our home. The road to finding that home was the longest road ever! I was scared to dea...

The Gooch Fam: July 2011

Adventures of the Gooch Family. The first two weeks of July have been fun and heartfelt at the same time. We were able to go as a family to St. George for the weekend of the 4th to visit our friends Megan and Josh Haycock and their girls Lydia and Brooklyn. Why would we go to St. George on the hottest weekend this year? When we made it home on the 4th, we were able to go to Russ and Denise's home for dinner and fireworks with some of my family! We went to Mimi's Cafe for brunch afterwards! The family dec...

Adventures of the Gooch Family. January 2nd was Eli's baby blessing. What an awesome day! This year Dave's entire family got together for a New Year's Eve party. It was so much fun simply because it was really low key. Tim and Shiloh were in town and we took some fun photos of Eli and Cohen. It is so fun to see them together. Eli looks so big compared to Cohen! Man am I getting old! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Brent and Emily Giles. Jasmin and Chris Graham. Matt and Mindi Cox.
