1儘量不要平躺，頭部保持較高的姿勢。因為平躺時，由於重力的關係，鼻塞會比較嚴重些。 2可以用熱毛巾，熱敷鼻腔，持續熱敷 5-10分鐘，會改善鼻塞。 3多喝開水。雖然鼻塞時，小小孩食慾較差，吸奶也較困難，經常吸一兩下，就要停下來用嘴巴呼吸；但是仍然要常給予開水餵食，因為身體水分如果不足，鼻水會更黏稠，鼻塞會更嚴重。 4使用高濃度的鹽水來噴鼻子。可以到診所、藥局或嬰兒用品店，買一個可以噴鼻子的小塑膠瓶，調配高濃度的鹽水(在1000cc的溫開水中加入27公克的食用高級精鹽)，每1-2個鐘頭就給小Baby噴一噴鼻子。如果鼻塞嚴重，甚至每半個鐘頭噴一下都可以。 5如果鼻水很多，也可以用一般的吸鼻器把鼻水吸掉。不過最好先噴鹽水，等鼻水流出來後再吸。同時使用吸鼻器時，要注意使用的方向：吸左(右)邊鼻腔時，要朝左(右)眼內側方向，不可朝右(左)眼內側方向，以免吸到鼻中隔而引起流鼻血。 7注意溫差的變化。鼻腔通常比較怕冷，所以冷風或冷氣不要直接對著鼻孔吹，當寒流來時，在睡覺時，頸部、肚子、手腳等最好都能蓋住保暖。 嚴重鼻塞時，醫生有時候會建議寶寶吸一點潮濕的水蒸氣，可以利用浴室放熱水瀰漫的蒸氣...
