Sunday, December 08, 2013. Icepocolypse 2013 - 3 Ways of Sledding. Our furnace stopped working in the middle of the night this morning. At 3am, I got up to do the only thing we get up at 3am to do, and I realized that I was FREEZING. If you know me at all, you know it takes a lot to make me cold! Way #1 - Recycle Box Lid. Way #2 - Recycle Box (pretty much a failure). Way #3 - Decorative Sled (plus GranDad). And Witten helped move the sand back into place when we were done. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wednesday, July 09, 2014. There were quite a few people that were floating down the river while the kids and Mitch were playing. (I got in too, but I'm the one taking the pictures.) Saturday, June 21, 2014. Road Trip Day 8 - The Grand Finale. I've been waiting all week for today. At some point, I found out that Rainforest Café had a sister restaurant called the T-Rex café. The only problem with it is that there are only TWO in the entire world! Luckily, one of them was on our road trip, so we stopped in for an early lunch as soon as they opened. Friday, October 25, 2013. My grandpa died this morning around 2am. On the way to taking Witten to school, I tried to explain what happened. Here's the conversation:. Me: Do you remember Grandpa Shelfer who lived with GranJan and GranDad? Witten: Yeah.Grandpa Shelfer. Me: Yes. Well, he died this morning. Me: Well, when we go visit GranJan and GranDad, he won't be there anymore. But, do you know where he'll be? He's going to live with God now. Isn't that exciting. Witten: Yeah. That's really exciting.

Monday, May 26, 2014. For Memorial Day, we took Witten and Reese to the National Cemetery to see my grandpa's grave. Monday, July 07, 2014. Over the weekend, we went into town a couple of times, and hung out a lot at the cabin just relaxing, so we didn't do a whole lot. Today was our BIG day! Sunday, March 31, 2013. Reese is 9 months old, and we decided to take her pictures in her Easter dress. I can't believe that she is so big now! She has finally started feeding herself her bottle. I want the viewer to make them his or her own! An apple, to me, may symbolize wholesomeness and health, where you may see Eve dooming us all to exile. Who is correct? I may have painted the image but the meaning behind the symbol is always open to interpretation, mine no more valid than yours.
