Wednesday, March 25, 2009. When I was a child, I played with my friends, run free around the neighborhood, and approached life with spontaneity and excitement. But along the way to adulthood, life became cumbersome with responsibility, and obligations. But, as I grow older and hopefully more wise, I am beginning to realize that even though I am not a child, I can get back the joy of childhood. As adults we work hard, so why shouldn't we be able to have some fun? Playing games with the grandchildren.

Thursday, March 12, 2009. To be able to sit down in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee, read the newspaper, and listen to the birds. These are just 3 simple pleasures I enjoy. Those simple little pleasures that help us relax and appreciate all that we are blessed with can make a big difference in the way we look at life around us. What did I miss? A Lot and so did they. To do the laundry, everything turns out bleached, he doesn't clean because I usually have it done. He does help though. Kevin is a really good cook, he is creative and he loves when the kids help him too, but his little draw back is EVERY MEAL IS MEAT and POTATOES, UGH! I actually cooked dinner for him. NOPE. It wasn't frozen pizza or sloppy Joe's.
