The Scoop: Thankful Thursday... The Thanksgiving Edition
http://nbergenske.blogspot.com/2011/11/thankful-thursday-thanksgiving-edition.html
My life as a woman, a wife, a mother, a teacher, a scrapbooker, a traveler. Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Thankful Thursday. The Thanksgiving Edition. 1 This evening as I was facing some unexpected turmoil in my day, I decided to take a few quiet minutes to myself and read the Bible. I picked some quotes used at a retreat I went to a couple of months ago. I read each one (savoring it) until this one stood out to me. I am so thankful for God's Word in my life. 7 Finally, I am thankful for all of the peopl...

The Big Day: February 2012
http://may292010.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 28, 2012. As some of you may have seen on Facebook, thanks to my super awesome husband, I have a new job. A really fantastic new job. Pretty much the best job I could hope for in this crazy economy in Siskiyou County, and given the fact that classroom teaching probably isn't going to happen for me in the next 10 years or so. I am absolutely thrilled to begin working with this program, and words do not express the gratitude I feel in being selected for this position! This big, stupid cold.

The Big Day: March 2012
http://may292010.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 29, 2012. So, I logged into Myspace tonight. I know.hilarious, right? You're probably thinking, "Does that place even exist anymore? Yes, yes, it does, but I can no longer navigate the pages. I seriously had a hard time finding my own profile. A sign of the times, or my age, I guess. It was a blast from the past! And on that note, I'm going to put on some Dashboard Confessional and wallow in the reverie. I'll see ya on the flip side. Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Best Video. Ever.

The Big Day: Washington, DC 2012.
http://may292010.blogspot.com/2012/08/washington-dc-2012.html
Monday, August 6, 2012. Washington, DC 2012. As most of you know, via Facebook, I spent the week of July 21st in Washington, DC for a NCCEP/GEAR UP Conference. I'm going to go ahead and guess that most of you have no. That they persist in those goals. Make sense? So, this conference alternates between Washington, DC and San Francisco. Lucky for me, we were given the green light to attend this year's Washington, DC event, because I had never been there before! It certainly hit the spot at midnight. What w...

The Big Day: April 2011
http://may292010.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 14, 2011. Pretty nice little Saturday. Just another anecdotal view into our blissful, married life:. With Robert Redford and Paul Newman? Possibly the two most attractive actors of their era? So he grabs my phone with a whole lot of force, and it somehow slips through his hands. Backwards. Over his shoulder. Over his head. Onto the coffee table. Bounced off the buttons of the remote control. Straight into his cup of coffee. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

The Big Day: Ghost of 4th of July's Past: 2010
http://may292010.blogspot.com/2012/07/ghost-of-4th-of-julys-past-2010.html
Sunday, July 8, 2012. Ghost of 4th of July's Past: 2010. But the weather didn't stop us from having a good time! We did that day up right, and were rewarded with a pretty darn spectacular fireworks show that evening. We haven't been back to Lake Siskiyou for the 4th since that year, and I'm thinking we may need to revisit the idea next year. Who's with me? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Big Day: June 2012
http://may292010.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 3, 2012. Wow, apparently it's been FAR too long since I have logged into blogger.I feel like it's a brand new site. And I also feel like this text window is straight outta 1994, MS-DOS style. Minimalist, much? So Clint and I just celebrated our 2 year anniversary last weekend! How crazy is that? I can't believe it's been 2 whole years since we got married! JUST CLEAN OUT THE DAMN SINK! Just kidding. I always clean out the sink. A very cool place that would be way cooler if it still looked li...

The Big Day: January 2012
http://may292010.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 29, 2012. The book I am reading. Dracula, by Bram Stoker. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good read. For being a 19th century novel, the language isn't too intimidating or difficult, and the subject matter is classic "Vampire." I haven't been able to put it down in a week! Thursday, January 19, 2012. The effect of winter on an elementary school. Just picture that for a second. K-8 students in a gym full of basketballs and volleyballs. 30 minutes at a time. So, in the ...

The Big Day: Ghost of 4th of July's Past: 2009
http://may292010.blogspot.com/2012/07/ghost-of-4th-of-julys-past-2009.html
Sunday, July 8, 2012. Ghost of 4th of July's Past: 2009. With the memory of 2008 still ingrained in my mind, I decided to stay away from the backroads in 2009. In Clarksville, because it borders Fort Campbell and it would be silly to compete for celebrations, the 4th of July is celebrated on two separate days. Clarksville sets off its fireworks over the Cumberland on the 3rd of July, and reserves the actual 4th of July celebration for fireworks on Fort Campbell. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
