Book Buzz: Sam and the Lucky Money

Reading and talking about children's literature. Sunday, February 14, 2010. Sam and the Lucky Money. Sam and the Lucky Money. Is my favorite book to read in celebration of Chinese New Year. My kids love it. It's a wonderful story of giving. We have a nice size population of Vietnamese students at my school who celebrate Chinese New Year and give the beautiful red envelopes. Over the years, I have been blessed by their spirit of giving and am grateful. Serious and willful misconduct. Welcome to Book Buzz!

May 17, 2008 — Cindy. It’s almost the end of school and I have a long list of tasks to accomplish before the last day! I have more than 75 books to read before July! Community: Found in a Children’s Book. December 29, 2007 — Cindy. I just finished a children’s chapter book (as we call it at school) this week. It is titled Elijah of Buxton by Chrisptopher Paul Curtis. I will be reviewing it on my book blog. Do we open our hearts and homes to meet the needs of new believers? Is this the type of community we are creating at Sagemont? Shouldn’t we the church be a community even stronger then this example? Do we fight for each other? December 25, 2007 — Cindy.
