http://afunkylife.blogspot.com/2014/12/thanksgiving-2014.html
We are the Funks! Yes, please. Food, love it! Life, live it up. That's us. Saturday, December 13, 2014. We didn't get a lot of photos taken, but we had a good time. Carson decided not to sleep while we were there though, little stinker, so we had to leave early because we all were just so exhausted! Carson got to ride on the 4 wheeler, he loved it! And he really enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner. It was his birthday! We are so Thankful for our wonderful family! Both our little family and our extended families.

http://afunkylife.blogspot.com/2015/01/december-happenings.html
We are the Funks! Yes, please. Food, love it! Life, live it up. That's us. Sunday, January 4, 2015. This post is going to be pretty short and sweet. :-) All our Christmas photos are on Mike's phone, and I have yet to get them off of there so I will have to make my Christmas post at a later date. But here are some of the things that happened in December. Mike watched some K-state games. Carson took a selfie. Carson enjoyed some food. It was so cold, but we had a fire to keep us warm. And now it is 2015!

A Funky Life: Christmas Eve and Day 2014
http://afunkylife.blogspot.com/2014/12/christmas-eve-and-day-2014.html
We are the Funks! Yes, please. Food, love it! Life, live it up. That's us. Friday, December 26, 2014. Christmas Eve and Day 2014. Our Christmas plans changed this year. We planned to go back to Kansas for Christmas, but then Michael found out he had to work this Friday after Christmas. Our families were very gracious though, and my mom came up Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to spend time with us and to see little Carson Bear. We also still had to celebrate my little sister Hannah's birthday! After a big...

A Funky Life: In Focus
http://afunkylife.blogspot.com/2015/01/in-focus.html
We are the Funks! Yes, please. Food, love it! Life, live it up. That's us. Thursday, January 15, 2015. I originally put this post up last week, but took it down because I felt convicted. I wrote some very poignant things and I do not want to offend so I edited this one. Sorry for those that kept trying to read the last one! We were in a car accident on Saturday. I know, Happy Birthday to me, right? Mike and I did a lot of "you are so good, God! Thank you that no one was hurt! But what if things hadn't tu...

Joyner for the win. 039;cause why would you settle for mediocrity? October 16, 2013. We went sailing daily, kayaking, boogie boarding and made sure to get our fill of the no wetsuit needed ocean. It was great! We even went for a night beachwalk in the hopes of seeing sea turtle babies, but didn’t see any. First day out on the beach. Nice! The fancy restaurant. I liked this food quite well. Looking for the elusive baby turtles on a night beachwalk. Matt’s second love, sailing : ). October 16, 2013. Leave ...

Joyner for the win. 039;cause why would you settle for mediocrity? This post is a long time coming. Back in January when Matt was getting his appendectomy, I decided I wanted to demo a wall in our kitchen and build a walk in pantry. We had been using a ceiling height cabinet as our pantry, and stuff always got lost in the back of the deep shelves and you could never see anything in there. After removing this pantry, all our food sat out on the living room floor for a few months. I also just drew in cross...

Joyner for the win. 039;cause why would you settle for mediocrity? June 20, 2014. This year, Matt and I used our birthday freebie to take the boat ride over to Catalina Island. The one and only time we’ve been there was for the marathon, where we didn’t get to take in the island much at all, so this was a nice chance to soak it all up. After a breezy 45 minute boat ride, we reached the island. First order of business was checking into the hotel, an adorable Victorian called the St. Lauren. We shared a sp...
