Daniel 'The' Pope: Website of the Week – ifttt.com
http://danielthepope.blogspot.com/2012/12/website-of-week-iftttcom.html
This website uses cookies. Website of the Week – ifttt.com. This "Website of the Week" isn't going to be a regular occurrence, but IFTTT sent me a text a couple of days ago, and I decided to write about it because it's pretty cool. IFTTT stands for "If This Then That", and it is an online utility to perform a particular action when a particular event occurs. All of this crazy functionality, and the service is completely free! Setting up a rule. When you create a new recipe, click on 'this', then 'Email'.

Daniel 'The' Pope: My Operation
http://danielthepope.blogspot.com/p/my-operation.html
This website uses cookies. I'm no longer updating this page, but it looks like Google hasn't figured that out! I moved all my posts to my WordPress page. And am still posting updates there. I underwent bimaxillary osteotomy (jaw surgery) on 2. April, 2012. I wrote down my experiences before, during and after surgery and put it in this blog, as a way to let my friends know how I was getting on. Here’s the story:. All about my teeth. All the gory details (minus all the gory photos). One week on…. If not ot...

Daniel 'The' Pope: Windows 8: The Start Menu Is Back!
http://danielthepope.blogspot.com/2013/06/windows-8-start-menu-is-back.html
This website uses cookies. Windows 8: The Start Menu Is Back! Windows 8 got rid of the start menu we all know and love, and replaced it with the start screen. Although beautiful and new and touch friendly, it isn’t the same. And people hate change, apparently. Anyway, I figured out a way to put a menu at the bottom left corner with links to your installed programmes, with no need to install any horrible 3rd party software. It sort of resembles the Programs menu of Windows 98, and it looks like this:.

Daniel 'The' Pope: July 2012

This website uses cookies. 4 months after the operation. Well, Im back from the Alps now (and have been for quite some time). Unfortunately that insurance premium I paid just went into the companys pocket, but if I hadnt paid, the rock that punched me in the face would have hit the fracture rather than my cheek, or the baguettes I had for lunch would have destroyed the blocks on my braces, or something. Its been ages since I wrote about my jaw, but thats because nothing much has happened. Part 6: The end.

Daniel 'The' Pope: Puzzle Cube – E4 E Sting competition
http://danielthepope.blogspot.com/2013/08/puzzle-cube-e4-e-sting-competition.html
This website uses cookies. Puzzle Cube – E4 E Sting competition. I made a video for E4’s E Sting competition 2013. An E Sting is a 10 second user-created clip which E4 shows between its shows. They’re completely random – you can essentially do whatever you want with the video you make, so long as it has the E4 logo on it. It’s a bit of fun, and of course there’s a monetary incentive as well. In order to give the video a good ending, I thought I could turn the cube into a stamp. Filming resumed an hour la...

This website uses cookies. 7 months after the operation. Looks like I'll be going back there again as soon as the braces are taken off. Pizza risotto. Yeah. A couple of days ago, my brother asked mum:. Kieran: “What’s for dinner? Mum: “Risotto.”. Kieran (expectantly): “Pizza? Mum: “No. Risotto.”. Kieran (in an attempt to compromise): “Pizza risotto? Then the idea was born. Tonight, that idea became a reality. Then it actually happened. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Pizza risotto. Yeah. Let it be known.

Daniel 'The' Pope: Website of the week: Feedly
http://danielthepope.blogspot.com/2013/06/website-of-week-feedly.html
This website uses cookies. Website of the week: Feedly. I've said previously that Website Of The Week wasn't going to be a thing, and I stand by that. If you are a Google Reader user, you'll be aware that Google is pulling the plug on July 1st. If you're not aware, where have you been? You have exactly a week to make the transition from Google Reader to an alternative of your choice, and I'm going to recommend Feedly. Once you've signed up to Feedly, here's a subscription link. To get you started ;).

This website uses cookies. Raspberry Pi project #3: Beepy. Before you panic, you havent missed my writings about any other Raspberry Pi projects. This is project number 3, but its the first one Ive actually written about. The reasoning for Beepy came when the family were highlighting programmes in the Christmas edition of Whats On TV. We used to set reminders on the TV, but its rubbish - they only remind you if the TV is turned on. Labels: Helpful techy things. Website of the Week – ifttt.com. On enterin...
