Cancer Survivor Updates. Stem Cell Transplant for Multiple Myeloma. Tuesday, November 06, 2007. All words that come to mind as I celebrate this year, and the gift it has been. In the big picture, I am in awe at what I have been thru. And how I feel right now. Normal, energy, no pain, can it really be that I had a Stem Cell Transplant a year ago? In the day to day picture, I struggle with getting caught in the trap of everyday. Did I spend my time being "busy", complaining about trivial things?

Continued evidence of how quickly research, info and drugs are moving in the multiple myeloma field! Most of it is very scientific, so I'll try not to bore you. Another thing I learned is that now familial studies are being done at the Heredity Cancer Institute that is beginning to track patients with myeloma and who else in their family has myeloma or leukemia? Cancer Survivor Updates. Stem Cell Transplant for Multiple Myeloma. Monday, January 07, 2008. I finally received my "official" letter in Dec. from my doc relaying my remission news in print. After my lab results in Sept. he had just called me to share the news. I of course, wanted the results, lab numbers, etc. sent to me in a letter, so I had to bug him a few times. And sure enough.".you are in COMPLETE REMISSION". wow. So for now, that is my story and I'm sticking too it! Take Care, Cindi.

Cancer Survivor Updates. Stem Cell Transplant for Multiple Myeloma. Saturday, April 04, 2009. Had 6 month testing and reports, and saw the doc on April 1st. No cancer here! Have had a month of mental gymnastics, wondering what was up. As I have had left shoulder pain every day for over a month. Did have an MRI that came back clean. Especially since I did so well on the transplant end! But alas, we'll keep on KEEPING ON! Looking forward to traveling to Honduras in June with Madi! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

My goal is to connect survivors experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy with HATSnHAIR to feel better about themselves and their cancer journey. HATSnHAIR grew from my own survivor story. At the age of 42 years I underwent a stem cell transplant for multiple myeloma. I began therapy with a shoulder length, thick hair.
