From New Orleans to the Land of the Long White Cloud. Saturday, January 06, 2007. Week of Waitakere Ranges and Beaches. We've spent all day almost everyday this past week exploring the Waitakere Ranges and the west coast beaches. We continue to be amazed with the spectacular sights only minutes away from our door. I start monday morning, which happens to the three-month anniversary of our arrival in New Zealand. From New Orleans to the Land of the Long White Cloud. Saturday, July 07, 2007. It's been WAY too long - Part 1. It has been too long since our last post! We'd love for all of our family and friends to be able to experience this beautiful country with us. At the end of May, our friend Mark from New Orleans came and stayed for two weeks. We visited several of the Auckland region attractions and took a four-day trip to Rotorua and Lake Taupo which are located along the "Thermal Explorer Highway.".

From New Orleans to the Land of the Long White Cloud. Saturday, July 08, 2006. We've found the perfect house out in Waitakere. Bordering on a nature reserve, 15 minutes down a scenic road from wild beaches (see pics in the last post). It has a huge deck in the back and absolutely beautiful views. There's a train station down the road with a little cafe in it, and the train goes all the way downtown. This is going to be wonderful. I feel infinitely thankful. We have a lemon tree. I am learning a lot about publication design, and feel very excited about my current projects. Yesterday, Eric and I took a day trip to One Tree Hill, which close to my office. From New Orleans to the Land of the Long White Cloud. Friday, August 25, 2006. Last week Eric and I went and climbed Mt. Eden. (If you want to learn more about Mt Eden's formation and history, visit http:/ www.arc.govt.nz/volcanoes). From a distance, it looks quite small. However it is 196m (643ft) high and the views from the top are spectacular. Look at the people in the background to get an idea of the size of the crater.
