Surdité du jeune enfant 0-6 ans. Selon l'Organisation Mondiale de la Santé (OMS) en 2006, 278 millions de personnes dans le monde souffrent d'une déficience auditive. Le quart de ces déficiences débutent d'ailleurs dès l'enfance. Dans les familles sans antécédent, un enfant sur 1 000 naît sourd.
