Yes, quite inactive I am. Well, besides that SteamLUG. Apparently has a Unvanquished. Team aligned for their Tournament. In which case I figured I might as well set up two servers for Unvanquished, one for Tourney13 and one for ordinary gameplay, they can be seen on the official server list. Is the tourney server, and. Is an ordinary server (open for all). Below I’ve compiled my steps to get it running, besides configuring the server.cfg and the maprotation.cfg on my Debian/Sid server.

SteamLUG Events - Amnesia The Dark Descent.
https://www.swordfischer.me/2013/05/17/SteamLUG-Amnesia
SteamLUG Events - Amnesia The Dark Descent. On the 2013-05-15 we had our very first Single Player-type Event for SteamLUG - cannot say that it was an overall succes, but it didn’t go too bad though. I planned for people to play along with me, while I was streaming to twitch. But I didn’t get the feeling that anyone else was playing - or was much active on Mumble for that matter. I will plan to play through 1 hour more of Amnesia at some point later, at another SteamLUG Event. Though, as this is also new.

Steam for Linux and something else. Has been out for a while. How is it you ask? Certainly it works great already, even though there are some multilib dependencies unfortunately, but at least we got Steam, right? Also, there are a couple of hits and misses. In the Steam client, as they show up but are unplayable or uninstallable. Make sure to bookmark the site, as this is usually more frequently updated than the official list on Steam (believe it! The Double Fine Game Club is a community run weekly event where members of the Double Fine community and other adventure game fans come together to play and talk about the game currently being played (think of it as a book club for games). It’s entirely informal and everybody is welcome! Today (might be yesterday, depending on where you are located. what? I attended a Double Fine Game Club. Session, which was my first. SteamLUG Game Night

The 1st of February I held the first SteamLUG. Game Night, which I must say was an overall success. I seriously didn’t expect such a large turnout at all. It was really nice to see so many join for such a long session - some of us played for almost 4 hours! I hope that future events will not only be FPS games, but RTS, adventure and what not (when they’re available on Steam) - I want everyone to feel they are welcome, and not only FPS players. Hope to see you all next time! Watch the Twitch.TV Stream.

Half-Life 2 Deathmatch on Linux. Well apparently Valve ships the .so for HL2:DM in their GCF, so you can with next to no effort get it running on Linux (I had some odd crashes though). If something about this seems unclear, I’ve explained some of the steps better in another guide. Get the GCF half-life 2 deathmatch.gcf. From nemesis.thewavelength.net. Half-Life mods on Steam for Linux

Half-Life mods on Steam for Linux. Recently Half-Life (goldsrc) has been released on Steam for Linux, and I set out to trying all the original mods that I own, on Linux. 1 First of, you either want to get the gcf’s (game content files) through the Steam on Windows client - or through Wine, whatever you feel most comfortable with. 2 Second, you need GCFScape. From nemesis.thewavelength.net. 3 Third, you have to extract the content of the gcf and copy it into your Steam Half-Life directory. 4 Fourth, copy.
