Saturday, February 23, 2008. A perfect day in Beijing. J is visiting Beijing for a week, and we hang out together yesterday. This is what we did for the whole day:. 1pm - Met up for lunch, had 新疆菜 near 新疆饭店. 3pm - Took a walk on 南锣鼓巷 near 后海, stopped for coffee in 过客. 4pm - Walked at 后海, had various Beijing food including 豆汁 at 九门小吃. 6pm - Went to 国家大剧院 (the "egg"), amazed at the architecture, met 黄牛党 (details in the next post). 10pm - After the show, had dinner at 西门鸡翅 near 北大. 2pm - Got back home.

Tuesday, July 31, 2007. After getting the Rubik's 5x5x5 for about a month, finally I picked up my mind and dedicated 4 hours straight into solving it over the weekend. Geocoding on HK Maps. Thursday, April 12, 2007. What Would She Think. Just read a news that 龔如心's funeral will be an extravagant one.Just the flowers will all be imported from Holland, and cost millions of HKD. Given that she is known for her meanness (allegedly she spent less then 3000 HKD a month), I wonder what her response would be if she learns that the money spent on her funeral is more then what she has ever spent throughout her whole life.
