Simplistic Rule of a Dream: 2008-11-30

Friday, December 05, 2008. More of what I don't know. Made some progress today on the new data management classes for the engine. I'm working to get linked list implemented in such a way that objects and scenes will be able to be as dynamic as possible. And as per usual, I'm rolling my own, which is always fun, educational, and tedious. I have to go Christmas shopping for the family sometime this weekend, which will be a nightmare I'm sure! Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Begin the year end update. I've started work back on Barricade currently. I'm working to finish some of the game mechanics that I did not finish during work on the proto-type. I worked on it a couple of days last week and some decent headway. I switched back to this for two reasons. One, I decided to port my existing code base over to Qt. Posted by Will C. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. I had to end up ditching out on the last day as my son came home from vacation, so I'm not sure what the end results of the jam were. Evan and his Bad Ass goggles. Posted by Will C. Mike, Josh and I(Greg) scuttled down to Ankeny for a developer meetup that the DSMGG. Held at a local gaming place Cyber Ops Gaming Center. It was great to get some of that inspiration last night. New blog at www.intuitiongames.com: Mike smells his hand a lot
http://intuitiongames.blogspot.com/2008/03/mike-smells-his-hand-lot.html
New blog at www.intuitiongames.com. Monday, March 17, 2008. Mike smells his hand a lot. I've been documenting this for quite sometime. I had a mini-intervention with Michael a few days ago, but it was brushed off with a smirk and a giggle. I feel this has grown into something bigger than Mike, bigger than us. I can only hope the internet will serve as Mike's savior and purge him of whatever it is that's on his hand that titillates him so. 3/17/08, 5:05 PM. 3/18/08, 3:18 AM. 3/18/08, 11:25 AM.

Cities in the Sky
Cities in the Sky. Floating islands, and what happens when you build on them. More screenshots at flickr. Cities in the Sky is a game about building on a floating island whilst keeping it balanced, and keeping the little people living on it alive. Buildings are lowered from the sky for you to manoeuvre into position, in a Tetris-like fashion. The island tilts in reaction to buildings being placed on it, and as the island tilts, the buildings and people are more likely to fall off. Therein lies the fun!
