Tuesday, December 13, 2011. Is the subway safe? We are thinking about taking the subway to get to our hotel from JFK. I know we need to take some other form of transportation to get to the subway 1st. Is this safe to do? Also, we are staying at the holiday inn martinque. Has anyone had any experience with this hotel? Is the subway safe? From JFK you take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station. From there you can take an ';E'; subway into the city, or you can take the Long Island Railroad from here as well.
